We had no idea that Bruce Springsteen's 20-year-old daughter, Jessica, was an accomplished equestrian
until now! The brunette beauty competed in the Gucci Paris Masters 2012 in Paris over the weekend ... Jessica, who competed in the Style and Competition for Amade, came in 6th place...

I don't know if 'the boss' (ha) will but I can give some insight on what it'll consist of if he does, or if anyone else wants to for him (hint-hint, wink-wink):
Musically he pretty much stinks playing that guitar of his(1). Back in the 'olden days' folks mocked Elvis' playing - Ha! Elvis was Clapton compared to 'the Boss'. Bruce's Horn Player (Sax), Clarence Clemons made that band. This IMHO is Bruce's best song Bruce Springsteen performing Born To Run, and that was 1975(2).
(1) The only good thing about Springsteen now is his 'signature' guitar. It's a Fender Esquire, the predecessor to the iconic Fender Telecaster. It's way too good of an Axe for this jerk to own, but that's life.
(2) If you search the Internet for the guitar tabs for Born To Run you'll find them in Keys other than E -- they are wrong. The folks who write those Tabs change the Keys as they like (for their voice or own playing ability), say the Key of 'G' for Born To Run (G, C, D chord progression). That's why if you play those Tabs along to the original they sound like crap -- you're playing in the wrong Key.
(a big headache back when all we had were 'Song Books' or 'Teenage Fake Books' to follow as everything was rearranged. The Net changed all that, thank you Al Gore ./s)
Glad I missed ~that~.
;D
Back in 1980 I read an interview he did where he bragged that he showed at the draft office dressed in drag, ‘femming it’ to the max to escape duty in ‘Nam.
Every time he sings some pseudo ‘Nam protest/veteran support song, my blood pressure rises.
He’s *never* had one ‘blue collar job’ in his whole life.
He got out of high school, bummed off friends and slept on their floors until he was ‘discovered’.
He knows as much about ‘real life’ as I know about astrophysics.
I was a huge fan in the 70’s and his was the first concert I ever went to.
I’m so ashamed.
“It hurts just as badly to hit the ground when youre rich as when youre poor.”
Yup. I am not rich but I have been over the jumps with the horse, over the jumps seperated from the horse as I went over the jump, over the jump without the horse, and through the jump without the horse (ouch). I have also been thrown over a horse by a professional athlete who had never given anyone a leg up before. Hit the concrete and started to laugh after I checked all my organs to make sure they were still in the right spots.
I miss it. I love horses. And they love me right back. Sigh...
Though that loud mouth jerk from U2, Bono, comes in at a close 2nd.

I could never figure out why the music from the fake books was so bad and that is it. I suspect that not using Drop D tuning had a bit to do with it to.
One of the singers who has driven me crazy is Kim Hill who more than likely will be singing in D#. Yikes.
I played in bands where the guitar players were electronically astute enough to use a Voltage Attenuator on their turn tables so that the record tuned to their guitar.
The King of cryptic posts.
(On the internet no one knows you are a horse.)
Interesting that B Spring's highly subsidized "farm" bought the horse.
I guess he will use it to plow the fields of our tax money.
Don’t get me started on Bono.
The irony of it all is that they get huge tax breaks for all those “free concerts” they put on.
It’s considered a “donation” and is deductible.
Why pull money out of your own bank account when you can just show up and sing a couple of songs and get ‘paid’ for a ‘concert’?
That’s why I love Alice.
He supports Republican candidates but never mixes it with his music.
“Shut up and sing”.

“I have also been thrown over a horse by a professional athlete who had never given anyone a leg up before”
Please forgive me for LMAO.
The mental image was just too much.
;D
The horse I grew up on was 16H and I rode bareback so I had to lead him to something I could climb up on and jump from, onto his back.
About 25% of the time, that wiseguy would deftly step sideways as I was mid-leap, landing me flat on the ground.
He’d turn to look at me, bob his head, snort and swish his tail.
He was such a joker.
Best horse I ever had.
Of course you're right about this--middle-class and poor people can't afford to play in the big leagues. (And $50K would not be enough even to lease a horse at that level, much less buy one. International-quality jump horses and show hunters are in the high six figures and low seven figures; top dressage horses can be in the ballpark of $10-20 million.)
My point is that your young friend and my daughter cannot compete with Springsteen, unfortunately. The top people compete with each other.
But among those who actually are competitive--those who have the fancy horses, the trainers, the physical plant, the six-figure trailers, the everything--the winners work hard and are talented.
Alas, show jumping on the international circuit is not like basketball. You can work incredibly hard and go up the levels through sheer determination to a certain point, and then you absolutely stop. I have friends who are teachers and hairdressers who are showing on the FL circuit, but only people surnamed Ward, Onassis, Bloomberg, Springsteen, Firestone, etc. go on and compete with each other at Aachen.
When she lifted me with her legs she threw me into the air so high that only the toe of my left foot touched the back of the horse which rotated me upside down for the hit on the ground.
It was hilarious.
I used to ride a paint named Jack who was sort of a problem. He had the ability to suddenly move sideways leaving me in my original position but in the air. It was amazing. Fortunately the gound was loam and I bounced gently when I hit the ground.
Spurs cured that.
OMG...now I really feel bad...LOL
While we’re sharing hilarious crashes, when I was about 15 or so, I decided it would be cool to try “Roman riding”.
However, all I had at my disposal was the 16H gelding and my Shetland pony.
Things weren’t going *too* bad, thanks to my flexibility...until I took them over a 2 foot jump.
Luckily, I landed [mostly] on the pony.
I’ve done some wonderfully stupid but fun things with my horses.
It’s a miracle I’m still alive...:)
I had a Paint named Gidget who did the same thing, only *forward*.
I always felt like Wiley Coyote, finding myself suddenly suspended in mid-air.
She was my first horse and I got her when I was 11.
She had a hard mouth, was fast as hell and totally insane.
When she decided she wanted to go home, all you could do was hang on and hope she didn’t trip barreling down the steep mountain logging roads.
On the bright side, after learning how to stay on her, all other horses were ~easy~ to ride.
;D
Wow that would have been difficult! I’ll bet it was funny as all get out.
I have no idea how I survived my teen and 20s years. A major miracle.
“On the bright side, after learning how to stay on her, all other horses were ~easy~ to ride.”
I had much the same experience. When I first started riding I had nothing but psychopath school horses. When I finally got to the point of riding with a quality school I ended up on a great jumper. He used to jump on his own in the fields and all he wanted in life was a pair of wings. I hope he got them.
It's ironic that the Liberals have deprived themselves of a draft dodge, too!
The back end of the horse reminds me of Bruce.
I remember Obama crowd making a big stink about Ann Romneys equestrian exploits.
