“If you search the Internet for the guitar tabs for Born To Run you’ll find them in Keys other than E — they are wrong. The folks who write those Tabs change the Keys as they like (for their voice or own playing ability), say the Key of ‘G’ for Born To Run (G, C, D chord progression). That’s why if you play those Tabs along to the original they sound like crap — you’re playing in the wrong Key. “

I could never figure out why the music from the fake books was so bad and that is it. I suspect that not using Drop D tuning had a bit to do with it to.

One of the singers who has driven me crazy is Kim Hill who more than likely will be singing in D#. Yikes.

I played in bands where the guitar players were electronically astute enough to use a Voltage Attenuator on their turn tables so that the record tuned to their guitar.
