Maybe — but another way of putting it is:

“Unless we have articulate messengers who are able to present Conservatism and liberty as the way to truly improve lives and create wealth and opportunity for all, then we’ll be sitting here 3 1/2 years from now bitching about Republican nominee Jeb Bush”.

Screw talk of who’s going to run in 2016! Let’s talk about who, when, and how “we” are going to change the narrative and STOP relying on the RNC to tell us who our candidate is going to be!

..I understand what you are saying, but I tend believe that the evidence shows that welfare and race lost this election--they just wanted the stuff...

The splintering for 2016 has already started.

Interested [some semi-] conservatives: Rubio, Christie, DeMint, Paul, Cruz, Santorum, and about 12 other Senators and Governors.

GOPe probable preferred: Jeb Bush, after all, it is his turn, isn't it?

==

As with 2008 and 2012, the conservatives will splinter the vote and the hangers-on will manage to give the nomination, again, to the GOPe selectee.

==

If the conservatives have NOT coalesced around ONE candidate by SuperTuesday, they will hand the nomination to the GOPe selectee.

After the vicious attacks and bans and name-calling and bullying on FR this past primary season, I doubt conservatives could coalesce around any single candidate.

Look at the 'quality' that was offered up this spring:
a talkshow host,
a 'flakey' House member,
a governor who forgot his political positions,
a deposed former Senator,
a deposed former Speaker of the House.
