Every berg/town/city should have such a program. Could also give them to kids in the Hospital.

Glad to hear Linda is much better....but, how are you going to get her to stop licking her fur. Not sure how well the stern lecture is going to work. Was she paying close attention?

I used to have to put vaseline on my kitties’ paws for them to lick off and help move those wonderful furballs along.

So sorry to read of Sarah’s passing Sarge & wish comfort for you all as it’s so hard to loose a beloved pet.

I had to look up the breed & at first I thought it might be a bird dog of sorts. What a beautiful breed! Did she have the blue eyes? I see they are very smart & herd cattle & hunt wild pigs.

Big *Hugs* to the clan & certain Sarah is running & playing like a puppy beyond the bridge.

Well, if i brush her daily, and remove the excess fuzz, it MIGHT help.

Also the grooming sessions are quality time with Mama.

Hello, (((Connie)))...

Sarah had one brown eye and one blue. In her youth I’m told she was quite the huntress, but she went ballistic when she saw other dogs. VERY territorial.

Thank you. We all are doing as good as expected. Jail Bait collapsed when she found out, but by dinner (late) she was better. I still tear up, but only time will help me. Maniac is being the strong one and only had sniffles, but he did give me a hug when I broke down in front of him. I am glad that he was able to see her one more time....

She was a protector of her human “den” I’d imagine.

Rest well Sarah.

We’re all reacting in our own ways.

Sarge, The Bride and Mocha threw ourselves into a cleaning frenzy - that brought ugly retorts from Brainiac.

Like The Bride said, Jailbait took it REAL hard.

She would herd us and hunt bugs that got into the house when she was younger. Maniac got her when she was only 6 wks old, and we have had her since then, almost 13 years. She loved people, and she only liked three other dogs. The rest were not her friend. If she saw you and you were on the other side of the fence, she would bark at you, but once you got on her side of the fence, she was happy that you came by. I’m going to miss that old girl. Thanks for your thoughts.

Now THAT is a great idea...a daily brush is not only quality time, but should stifle the urge to keep licking. Something is/was bothering her.

No fog today, just cold. Maybe snow next week.

We are above the norm for temps and below for moisture. No measurable rain for November this year.
