In spite of the embarrassing antics on full display during his first term in Congress, the voters in Floridas CD09 saw fit to send Alan Grayson back to Washington, D.C.
Naturally, the extreme elements of the far left supported Graysons return to office, but so too did many of our friends and neighbors. Perhaps even family members. He was also a recipient of overwhelming support from the Hispanic community, particularly those of Puerto Rican descent. And labor unions.
Theres no doubt he also received a fair share of votes from the disaffected and disengaged for the sheer entertainment value such a buffoon presents.
And Grayson wasted little time in making it clear that his second stint at playing a lawmaker will be no less mortifying than the first when he spent Thanksgiving night agitating Walmart workers on behalf of organized labor and disrupting the early start to Black Friday holiday shopping.
Union-backed groups OUR Walmart and Making Change at Wal-Mart were calling for an employee walkout during Black Friday.
In the typical theatrics that define the far left, our newly elected Congressman was handing out turkey sandwiches and letters explaining the right to organize to employees at a local Walmart, forcing management to call the police to have him escorted off the property.
One Walmart employee did walk off the job, although its not clear if this was staged beforehand.
How nice, huh? A fine representative of sleepy little Orlando with one small exception, the only ones who appear to be sleeping in this town are conservatives.
Its also worth noting that labor unions, primarily public sector unions, are the number one contributors to Grayson, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars.
As for private sector unions, while the media continues to perpetuate the myth that they are still relevant, the truth is less than 7% of private sector employees are now union members.
Companies understand that unions put them at a competitive disadvantage and may even force them into bankruptcy in the never-ending quest to get more for their members, regardless of how poor a financial decision it may be for a company. Case in point, Hostess.
In fact, while there was a time in America that labor unions played an important role, its fair to question if theyve outlived their usefulness in this country. Perhaps, more companies need to follow in the foot steps of Hostess to bring unions back to earth. Something union leaders individuals making six-figure salaries while forever pushing the class warfare narrative fully understand, which is why there is so much emphasis on organizing in the public sector and giving the Democratic Party money hand over fist to help facilitate this growth.
Negotiating with government officials who have no bottom line and no competition is the best of all possible worlds for unions. And to top it all off, most of the government officials involved in the negotiations are Democrats. A real cycle of convenience.
Meanwhile, the statement we get the government we deserve proves to be ever so true. Just ask the folks in Osceola and SE Orange County.
“It ain’t gonna stop until some way is found so that people without “skin in the game” cannot vote”
Which is to say it isn’t going to stop at all.
What we are living through is the US undergoing it’s ‘reversion to the mean’.
It will be long, slow, sad, and ultimately a sudden end.
Asslrot(sic) said yesterday...
Honestly, how can you take a government seriously that has this profound imbecile involved in it?
State republicans redrew the districts in a manner that CAUSED West to lose and Grayson to win. Then the RNC wouldn’t back Grayson’s opponent.

They have skin in the game, that is where the race card comes from.
You can thank the GOP for creating this seat and redristicting Col. West OUT of his seat. Prof once again that the GOP is not to be trusted, believed or supported. Conservatives are not wanted in the GOP; so goodbye to them. I resigned last week.

Grayson is the poster child for asylum escapees.
vaudine
Yeah, you’re right. But Grayson really is a nut case, yet he is re-elected. Shaking my head.
A little sympathy, please, for the Reagan Conservatives that still happen to live in his new district. We got stuck with this idiot in ‘08, worked hard to dump him in ‘10, and then woke up one morning and found ourselves in a new district. My worst fears were confirmed when he announced but we knew that he hadn’t stopped campaigning and raising money since Jan ‘09. Now, look who I have representing my interests—Alan Grayson (yikes!!), Marco Rubio (Thank God), Bill Nelson (when is that cadaver ever going to retire), and, last but not least, Barack (Tax us to oblivion) Obama (double yikes). At least MSDNC will have a new guest host for The Ed Show and at least, no one will see him.
...yep...I haven't much hope that I will ever see anything like even 10 years ago. I am afraid that the 47% numbers are a LOT more than anyone thought, and given that, there is no way that anybody with a R beside their name can get elected to any Federal position. I really expect that the trend will start moving into the "red" states starting in '14.
The "takers" are now piloting this ship in a power dive....ending up at the scene of the crash.
You think Grayson’s bad?
Have a look at what the people of Nashua, NH elected to represent them in their State Legislature.

Not only a lifelong career criminal, convicted felon, public nuisance and welfare cheat, but “transgendered”.
It’s very likely that he/she/it will be running for U.S. Congress some day.
The crazier they are the more Democrat support they get... See Jesse Jackson Jr, Debbie whatsername Smith, actually there are so many I couldn’t begin to name them all
Oh $h!t, have to see this @$$hole for years to come ?
Unbelievable. Leave it to republicans to shoot themselves in the foot.
I like your idea. IMO, time to play dirty. In fact do it to lot of the leftists.
Which law did Grayson break?
“Why dont we start a union, only make it conservative”
Somebody already did:
