Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte meet with UN Ambassador Susan Rice, who is a leading candidate for secretary of state despite the controversy over her comments on the deadly attack in Libya.

Source tells @DanaBashCNN that Amb. Rice told senators she regrets her public comments #Benghazi. Rice has more meetings today/tomorrow
MM: See posts 33, 36. Fox just played 2 clips from presser (nothing new) and Herridge comments.
Herridge reported that Morell was at meeting at the request of Susan Rice. She wonders why Morell instead of Clapper.
Me thinks it was the other way around, and that Morell went to meeting as Rice’s minder.
Direction, or misdirection? Focus to be on Rice, or Benghazibama? McCain to be point man at 4pm:
“Today at 4p ET, Senator John McCain sits down with Neil Cavuto in his first interview after meeting with embattled U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice.”

“Me thinks it was the other way around, and that Morell went to meeting as Rices minder.”
Ditto.
Rice and Morell slipped in and out of the Capitol Tuesday unseen by reporters.
I expected the Pubbie Trio to fold like wet kleenex and make kissy noises to the cameras.
Guess I was wrong.
Thanks for the info/links. R.I.P. Doherty, Smith, Stevens, Woods.

During the Waco, Texas massacre the Government filmed themselves shooting and burning women and children. During Congressional testimony FLIR video was shown of Government agents using automatic weapons and shooting into the rear kitchen that the residents were trying to use to escape the fire.
No one went to jail. Talk about getting left behind by your government.
This is no different.
White America talks a big game about violence, secession, and revolution, but when the SHTF it’s those free-loading grifters we look down on who start burning stuff and overturning cars to get what they want at the mere mention of a perceived offense - and they get what they want.
I’m starting to realize that we have a lot to learn from those free-loading rioters on how to effect change in a corrupt and cowardly system.

thanks for heads-up. IMO, that interview will be the tell...but see post 36:
“However, the senators said after the meeting they needed more information about the attacks and the aftermath before making a decision on how they might vote on a potential Rice nomination.”

If the senators were ready to rubber-stamp Rice, I don’t think they would have been as visibly upset as they were. I just saw 2 very short clips, but no doubt about it, they were upset-—almost shaken-— and it wasn’t feigned.
Maggie, from your link: “Rice is expected to meet later this week with Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and possibly other lawmakers, according to congressional aides.”
I figure it must be pretty bad for Graham and McCain to both re-discover their spinal columns.
Don't be too hasty. Remember, we're talking about POLITICIANS here.
They just look upset for the masses.
They were actually firming up the details for the rubber stamp on her confirmation.
oops, brain-slip; ping to post 55
Do you think Kelly Ayotte played the role of Scarlett and gave her a big slap?
