I am surprised too. But I think they’ll eventually cave on cue.
FYI: See comments on presser after the meeting with Rice. I missed the presser but am DVRing Fox now for a re-run.
Hmm....maybe Benghazi just jumped back into the news after a long turkey nap.
What new evidence?

“This is just a red herring.”
I gotta disagree with you here...they stayed on point and flat out said that there was someone in the woodpile who wasn’t telling the truth and they weren’t joking. It was pretty dramatic. Hope they stick to their guns. If there was intentional misleading information, the point of it will eventually HAVE to be, who did the cover up of AQ’s attack and that would HAVE to mean, who told them to stand down? It’s got to go there, press or no press.
Catherine Herridge also reported that Morrell (acting CIA director) will also be at the meeting, although “there is no public comment from the CIA as to why he is there, and importantly, at whose request.”
Isn’t this a woman who - like her boss - likes to flip the bird at folks who tick her off?
She probably asked for the meeting to make it appear she was being conciliatory.
She then probably was less-than-conciliatory behind closed doors.
And again - when republicans react like most normal people would - they will be branded by MSM as sexist and racist.
....and they said....I wonder what was promised to these three stooges as far as a Cabinet Position....and then they said....any position they wanted....

Let me know as soon as you get more info, please. I am going stark raving mad here trying to catch up on the time I was offline. So much is happening everywhere!!! Zillions of freepmails accrued. Oy.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte was among three prominent senators who met this morning with United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, whom she has criticized for giving mixed signals over the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
After the meeting, she told reporters, “I want to say that I’m more troubled today knowing, having met with the Acting Director of the CIA and Ambassador Rice. Because its certainly clear from the beginning that we knew that those with ties to al-Qaida were involved in the attack on the embassy. And clearly the impression that was given of the information given to the American people was wrong. In fact, Ambassador Rice said today, absolutely, it was wrong.”
She also said, “I have many more questions that need to be answered.”
“someone in the woodpile” - JDN
Hmmm, I’ll leave that one alone.
As long as this is a means to get to the matter of Obama leaving 40 Americans to die - ok.
But I still think this is unnecessary. We can get there without who told you to lie.

I am more disturbed now than before, said South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The Capitol Hill meeting lasted about 90 minutes and also was attended by acting CIA Director Michael Morell....
However, the senators said after the meeting they needed more information about the attacks and the aftermath before making a decision on how they might vote on a potential Rice nomination.
Well, there are two ways of looking at it:
1) After putting on a show of concern, McCain and Graham will fold, or
2) Something is fishy enough that even McCain and Graham are taking a hard line on it
Frankly, it could be either, and I refuse to commit to one or the other without additional evidence.
Perhaps Rice went in to explain to the Senators that they are powerless, old fools who should learn their place under Obama, or lose it. It’s not like an intelligent exchange could have taken place with Rice as one of the contributors.
“They were pissed.....”
I would rather believe they ACTED pissed.
I’ve seen Juan and Grahamnesty in “action” often enough now to KNOW there will be NO follow-through. Those dudes are all blow and no go! IMPO
please, please can’t we just get a hook in somewhere
