Rush Limbaugh is singlehandedly responsible for us knowing who Sandra Fluke is. He made her person of the year by calling her a slut and then walking it back days later.
She was a nobody when she spoke her words, and so would have remained but for Rush’s commentary bringing her to the forefront. He made her a viral sensation.

I don’t know how to do a timeline of the incident, but I think Rush was a bit late to the game, actually. If I remember right Laura Ingraham on O’Reilly was on it first when it was brought up that Team Obama was trotting her out her testify before congress. Then, Mark Levin really started hammering it.
Neither of the 2 you mention get anywhere near the exposure of Rush. Late to the game or not, it was a whisper until Rush made it a scream.
Again, just my opinion.
There is no question that Rush gets more attention form the drive-bys. I listen to a fair amount of progressive radio and I remember Stephanie Miller going absolutely berserk playing Rush’s comments continually.
