CNN poll: More Americans would blame Republicans if country went off fiscal cliff
Washington Examiner ^ | November 26, 2012 | Charlie Spiering

A new CNN poll shows that more Americans would blame Republicans if the country went off the fiscal cliff rather than President Obama.

45 percent of those polled by CNN said they would blame Republicans more; 34 percent said they would blame Obama.

But Republicans might have a political opportunity if they can convince Americans that President Obama is not working to cooperate with Republicans.

According to CNN, nearly half say Obama is not doing enough to cooperate with the Republicans, although seven in ten want him to compromise with the GOP.

Who cares, blame both parties as our federal government has become insane. I'd rather see the total bust sooner than later as the fool's paradise Obama has created is against God's Word and Plan. My family are prepared to meet our Lord or to survive in the interim.

This is why the GOP MUST let the dems have their way. They MUST explain what will happen if the dem plan is followed then offer a counter plan the dems will not agree to...then let the dem plans get THEIR PLAN passed and let them become the owners of the cliff.

Any compromise will allow the democrats to have an out by blaming the GOP for not !"

Polls showed Congress had something like a 13% approval rating before the elections... and yet most representatives kept their seats.”

Gee I’m really surprized that CNN would run such a poll, I wonder what their true intention is ?. I’m really tired of the B/S the media keeps pulling off. Until they start getting challanged they’re going to keep this up

A CNN poll? Well, there’s a paragon of objectivity. They’ve already been nailed for misreporting the news as dictated by the WH. Why wouldn’t they “fix” poll results?

...and if they do blame Republicans, it may cost them the Presidency?

Congress is like the Supreme Soviet. The only way out is to die.

For heaven’s sake, the Democrat from WV3 was reelected. That district is all coal and only coal.

We knew this would happen. So big deal. Dig in and fight, Republicans — for a change.

Compromising with Democrats so the media and public opinion likes the Republican Party is silly. It NEVER works, and leftists keep getting more and more of what they want.

To House Republicans: Fight, damn you. FIGHT.

There's an abyss beyond the fiscal cliff, that's where they're heading, and I'd let 'em jump right into it!

The Obamaphone people have spoken! (Going from 39.5 hours/week to 29.5 hours minus the Obamacare tax seems like it would sting to me. But I didn't think voting for Obama was either a smart or a cool thing to do.)

If the GOP had brains and testicles- and it has neither- it would would issue a statement of its fiscal perspective, condemn Obama’s, then state it would neither support nor oppose him on purely fiscal issues and let the Democrats own his policies totally as the nation goes over the fiscal cliff. Its called tough love for the American voters.

Who cares who gets the blame. They don’t vote for Republicans anyway.

Send them on over the cliff and let them see what Obama wants.

Do the right thing , give them all the rope they need to hang themselves.

I doubt we go over the cliff, Boehner is working between Obama’s knees now to find t solution Obama wants.

Let’s see. Obamacare (passed 100% by their party). Tax increases, only championed by their party.

And yet, I can't recall ever hearing Romney, or his people, making that a big argument. I realize it would have been harder for Romney to make that case because of Romneycare, but the GOP was almost silent on taxes during the campaign.

Listening to bozos like Saxby Chambliss talk, I wonder how many GOP-e Repubs truly understand basic tax policy and economics.

I went to a family event these prior three days. Talk about being totally depressed over the raging ignorance of adult Americans.

There is a reason why the JonStewart media willfully and with intent pounded George Bush day in and day out for nearly a dozen years. They might well have pictured him literally, as the acceptable image of the devil himself.

I heard that Romney was going to cut social security and he only cared about the ‘rich’ Republicans. Because the JonStewart media said that is what Romney said he was going to do.

Sadly, the majority of American adults are stuck on stupid, and the rest of US are going to have to ride this run away train right off the liberals tracks.

If the country avoided fiscal cliff, CNN poll would show more Americans still blame republicans.

Hey, maybe we can “unskew” this poll to get a result we like better!
