Before scandal would shatter his grand ambitions, when he was still a Democratic congressman and the heir apparent to one of Chicagos most prominent political dynasties, Jesse Jackson Jr. did not shy from criticizing other politicians with heavy baggage.

The future of black politics is bright, actually, Maze Jackson [radio host not related to J. Jackson] said. Youll see a new generation of black politicians with new, innovative thought processes. The old generation looked to protect the safety net as a way to empowerment. The new generation is more interested in banking, finance, utilities things that can be impactful for the long-term.
With the weakening of most old-line Democratic organizations across the city, Maze Jackson said the group that seems poised to try to fill the vacuum is the Chicago Teachers Union. The CTU, which has many black members, showed its organizational strength during the recent teachers strike.
What appears unlikely to many observers is that a relative of Jackson Jr. will succeed him or otherwise come to exert the sort of influence his father enjoyed.
As far as the broader family legacy, I would say this is a pretty big scar, veteran Democratic campaign consultant Eric Adelstein said. Its very hard to see how that Jackson political legacy is sustained by this generation, given all thats happened.
Chicago Teachers Strategize on How to Indoctrinate Kids with Marxism ".......In September, the Chicago Teachers Union went on strike, shutting down the Windy Citys schools for 10 days. Many of those same teachers were in attendance on Nov. 10 at the Midwest Marxism Conference held at Northwestern University in Chicago............"
Trumka, Weingarten and Ayres: AFL-CIO/AFT [American Federation of Teachers] "At the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) - America yesterday the AFL-CIO announced a $10 billion commitment to invest in America's infrastructure. This commitment puts labors money where their mouth is.
This initiative will help create mechanisms to finance infrastructure projects. Over the next 5 years at least $10 billion will be raised to invest in infrastructure projects beginning with investment specifically geared toward retrofitting large commercial buildings to be energy efficient. The money will be recruited from pension funds, state and federal governments, beginning with union pension funds..."
with new, innovative thought processes.... ways to extort tax payer money
Midwest Marxism conference, and it wasn’t about how to fight it either... oy vey what has my (graduate school) alma mater come to?!?
Yes.
It’s in the works - wealth transfer through the Energy Department and EPA. A Green “economy” that private-public sector unions are pouring their retirement funds into.
Schools, government buildings, military housing [for starters] are being retrofitted with “free” solar panels - leased by the occupants — long term “renewable” profit and wealth transfer forced by government on the country.
Obama’s policies and crony capitalism - the stimulus to pour billions of dollars borrowed from China and cement into place this green-climate-save Mother Earth fraud - teed-up for union investment and round-robin campaign funding for the Left (courtesy of our money being dictated into green “investments”).
Karl Marx wasn’t even BLACK! The travesty!
They’re all watermelons.
So why can’t we get some moles to go to these conferences. It might have all the charm of fingernails on chalkboards, but oh the whistles that could be blown.
Rotten ones with blackened rind maybe
Chicagos initiatives come straight out of the playbook Barack Obama put forward in his campaign four years ago and has advocated since Day One of his presidency. But there are some issues that only Washington can tackle. Democrats at the national level must execute on the presidents agenda on energy and tax reform to ensure the future of not only our party but also the middle class..........." - Source
They’re going to put their members pensions at risk? There has to be some sort of back door guarantee. No way do they simply throw members pensions at risk like that.
"Solar Strong" was "spun off" by Elon Musk and his relatives who own SolarCity to be combined with Lend Lease - Bank of America Merrill Lynch, USRG Renewable Finance, U.S. Bancorp, United States Department of Energy Financial Institution Partnership Program = Solar Strong
Jacksons demise means virtually all of the highest-ranking black politicians are senior citizens. The 48-year-old Jackson was one of three black congressmen in the Illinois delegation, but by far the youngest: Danny Davis is 71 and Bobby Rush is 66.
The most powerful African-American in local government, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, is 65, while Secretary of State Jesse White the only black state-wide office holder is 78.
The younger Jacksons resignation, combined with the aging of many other African-American elected officials, is hastening the search for fresh faces who might restore or even enhance the communitys clout. Younger African-American leaders in lower-level positions said they believe a new generation is ready to come of age.
This is actually some hopeful news. I have a lot of empathy for the older generation of black Americans. They grew up in and had to deal with a lot of crap from whites, and I don't begrudge them seeing things even today based upon their experiences with racism during their formative years.
But to be honest, this is a different world today, and the black community needs to start recognizing this openly. But it won't do that until the older generation leaves the stage. Jesse Jackson Sr. began as a man with noble intentions who did good work fighting real racism when it was necessary. But over the years America changed and he has become the Las Vegas Elvis version of a civil rights activist, consigned to replaying his old hits and never singing anything new while the world has passed him by. Even today he will compare minor events to Selma, Alabama, which only trivializes Selma, Alabama and denies his whole life's work had any effect at all. There is nothing going on today that remotely compares to the systemic racism encountered in earlier generations.
And the hidden good news is that they are looking so hard for the new generation to carry on from the older generation. There is a reason it isn't there, it isn't necessary. Martin Luther King was necessary in his time, but there is no need for another one today. There will still be black politicians, but they just need to be politicians and leaders.
For all their faults and problems, the republican party basically understands this, and is standing behind good black people by the content of their character.
Thank you for your service, elderly generation of black Americans. You can legitimately feel you changed America, mostly for the better. But please, just go.
There oughtta be a law that purposely putting up B.S. pseudo-technology for US funding will get you penalized, bad. At the very least get you put on a permanent black list.
Thats outside investment if s union pension invested along side. It doesn’t mean it will succeed. I’m thinking along the lines of the White House telling the pensions they have their back.
Youll see a new generation of black politicians with new, innovative thought processes.
Yep! And we all knnw what that means.
That's total nonsense right there.Any new faces will br just as socialist as the old ones, they know nothing else in the Chicago machine.
With the Department of Energy and the EPA dictating and enforcing regulations on us, and thousands of military houses and thousands of public schools and government buildings being fitted with solar panels, I would certainly say the government is backing union pension investments.
Now there's a pretty word for fascism.
