Professor: Thanksgiving Is A White Supremacist Holiday
Forget all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, today should be a day of fasting and atonement for American sin. Thats according to Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Jensen, known for his hard-left politics, also calls Thanksgiving a white-supremacist holiday.
Jensens opinion piece No Thanks for Thanksgiving, appeared on the far-left, Soros-connected website Alternet on Thanksgiving eve. In it, he wrote how Native Americans suffered because of the European invasion of the Americas. He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?

I agree. A great deal of leftist success is driven by our willingness to react to it. Without the attention he would be just another mediocre prof with nothing to set him apart and land him a job.
The same is true of people like Bill Maher and Michael Moore. Without the attention that we give them they would be forced to use their talents to entertain or fade into obscurity. I saw Sarah Silverman on a show last week and actually felt some pity for her because she is so desperate for attention that she was struggling for something outrageous to say when the situation simply didn’t call for it. She was flailing badly and knew it.
I think we can agree that the ‘discovery’ of North America
was an eventuality.
However, what would be the plight of the native groups if Gengis Khan had led the ‘invasion of the Americas’?
Hrm. I just might check out that lecture in Austin. And show up with a sign saying “Thanksgiving is a racist holiday”.
How many conservative alumni still contribute to these universities? Every conservative alumni of this university should STOP giving any money and explain why?
Then lets let them build casinos......
Then don’t observe Thanksgiving, prof. Starve yourself instead.
Here’s what’s next.
Combine memorial and Veterans Day. To many holidays celebrating American imperialism and militarism
journalism professors, is there anything they don't know???
feh...
OK, then, as a white guy he should kill himself for his “sins”. I mean, the liberal idiot claims his skin color has no right to be living on this soil, so he should leave first.
Just for the general FYI: this is the same Jensen who, just 3 days after 9/11, wrote that what happened to us was basically no different than what the U.S. has been doing to everyone else for the last 50 years:
http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/~rjensen/freelance/attack1.htm
“But this act was no more despicable as the massive acts of terrorism — the deliberate killing of civilians for political purposes — that the U.S. government has committed during my lifetime.”
What an effin’ twerp.
And college is a waste of time.
In the United States, the process of appropriating land resulted in occasional injustices being committed against Indians. These injustices however arose only in those isolated cases in which individual Indians could claim legitimate rights of individual private ownership which the white settlers violated, such as having established a farm which white settlers appropriated. There was no injustice present in the settlers disregarding the arbitrary claims of the Indian tribes to political sovereignty over territory, nor in their disregarding the collectivist claims of the Indian tribe to economic ownership. Because of their arbitrary and collectivist claims to land ownership, the barbaric governments of the Indian tribes were destructive to inalienable individual rights and deserved to be overthrown by the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence.
He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis? he asked.
The principles of the Nazis, of altruism, collectivism, hostility to individual natural rights and freedom, statism, and de facto socialism were the opposite of the principles of the Founding Fathers, of egoism, individualism, natural nights and freedom, limited government, and capitalism.
The professor deserves most of all to be ignored, but not before being reminded of the inevitability of exploration and conquest by people of cultures more advanced technologically (e.g., the wheel, knowing how to build ships propelled by wind, and how to navigate far, far from land using knowledge of the stars and planets and their apparent seasonal movements), etc, etc.
I would love to zap this clown into the alternate universe of his dreams, one where real Nazis threw lefty professors into concentration camps and tortured them, rather than granting them tenure and a generous salary at a tax-payer funded university.
But in the United States, this reluctance to acknowledge our original sin — the genocide of indigenous people — is of special importance today, he explained.
And when will Native-Americans acknowledge their original sin,,,the COMPLETE (their are zero left) genocide of the people who were in N. America before them? Thats right. Native-Americans were not the first on this continent. They completely eliminated the first settlers.
Hey “perfessor”. Nobody is forcing YOU to celebrate Thankgiving. Grow up, lighten up and go down to Taco Bell for lunch. Maggot! Personally, I believe “perfessors” are “rasis” because of the way they keep minorities who go to college EXTREMELY STUPID!
Freaks like this only exist in the SLIME POOL OF LIBERALISM, which offers them a place to nurture and grow their INSANITY.
