....Ted Cruz, explained the predicament to The New Yorkers Ryan Lizza:
In not too many years, Texas could switch from being all Republican to all Democrat. If that happens, no Republican will ever again win the White House. New York and California are for the foreseeable future unalterably Democrat. If Texas turns bright blue, the electoral college math is simple. We wont be talking about Ohio, we wont be talking about Florida or Virginia, because it wont matter. If Texas is bright blue, you cant get to 270 electoral votes. The Republican Party would cease to exist.

No, and that's why 2/3 of Latinos voted for him.
I am starting to think that all of us need to join the Democrat party and start working from within to change it.
That's not a bad idea.
“Latino” like “Palestinian” is a demographic identifier made out of whole cloth to provide legitimacy for another group of people our “government” and politicians can use as power leverage.
No.
That's how the Left turned the Democratic Party into what it is today.
I watched the movie Lincoln yesterday and am amazed how the Republican party is now characterized as racist, given the historical founding of the GOP.
” I am starting to think that all of us need to join the Democrat party and start working from within to change it.”
That’s one of the more sane observations I’ve heard here on FR in a long time.
The left has been infiltrating the government since the 1930s. They think transgenerationally.
The Tea Party thinks in terms of one or two election cycles.
When Texas goes liberal, freedom and liberty will be dead along with many in the country that believe in the 2nd Amendment (literally) because the gov’t will come after us with a vengeance to ensure they will never be challenged again.
Someone please point out to Jorge Arbusto how to count.
Yes they are....most hard workers and devoted to their religion....but we don’t have anyone who knows how to explain it so they see and w3ant to join us.....
We have the most inept and lame candidates for president I have ever seen: and Romney was exactly the kind of guy you wanted in the White House, but his message was never delivered properly
Watch Bill Whittle explain it and you will understand.
>>The Republican Party would cease to exist.<<
I thought it was already dead. It is in Delaware.
It took a long time for the GOP to become the dominate force in elections and hopefully it can stay that for some time to come.
Here is a Wikipedia listing of presidential election results in Texas going back to 1960.

Suggesting of course that Hispanics are inveterate law-breakers. People never explain why they feeeeeeeeeeeeel that way.
1986 redux -- amnesty and open borders -- a.k.a., comprehensive "reform."
We must surrender the U.S. to the undocumented Hispanic hordes to save the U.S. I get it.
(The Rat Party do love them votes and rat businessmen do love that tax-payer, subsidized cheap labor.. what I don't get is once they are declared legal they will organize and the labor won't be cheap. Go figure.)
A lot of new Latino immigrants are from countries where the word has been social justice and socialism..they believe in it. They will be hard to convert since most of them are already on some social program in the US.
We either hold the line on amnesty or loose our country.
It's truly a marxist construct. To paraphrase Mark Levin, if you'd take a devout Christian, midwest 50-year-old farmer, married with three kids who clears about $50-60K per year, and a 30-year-old NYC atheist lesbian womyn's study professor who clears about $100K, the left (and many on the right) would generically lump them both into, "the middle class" when really, their values, circumstances and lifestyles couldn't be more different.
Similarly, you may have older and first generation cubanos in the Miami area, and older long established families of "Texicans" who have all whole heartedly embraced the American way. Then you have the new wave of illegals who simply want to suck at the tit, and they are all generically lumped into the "Latino" demographic.
Exactly. It fits into the whole “social justice” mantra. In this case, build an oppressed class out of a mix of ethnicities, give the whole fraud a legitimacy through government sanctioned “education” to Americans, build social programs, perks, benefits, special preferences, ad nauseum and viola, we have a growing voting block of identity political power that can be manipulated.
The president deported criminal undocumented immigrants at a faster rate than President Bush
He’s doing something right.
Republican-styled capitalism is a modern day wonder. And our committment to life is unequaled.
We should shout it all from the rooftops.
