This is so sad if it ever happens. I love my state of Texas. I love my country. And as an American of Mexican descent, it makes me depressed to think of the future for all of us American (and for my almost one year old baby daughter.) God Bless the U.S.A.

Is Santa Claus a Republican?

No, and that's why 2/3 of Latinos voted for him.

I am starting to think that all of us need to join the Democrat party and start working from within to change it.

“Latino” like “Palestinian” is a demographic identifier made out of whole cloth to provide legitimacy for another group of people our “government” and politicians can use as power leverage.

Conservatism is dying out fast.
If Repubs try to emulate the Dems there will be nowhere for conservatives to turn.

When Texas goes liberal, freedom and liberty will be dead along with many in the country that believe in the 2nd Amendment (literally) because the gov’t will come after us with a vengeance to ensure they will never be challenged again.

Yes they are....most hard workers and devoted to their religion....but we don’t have anyone who knows how to explain it so they see and w3ant to join us.....

We have the most inept and lame candidates for president I have ever seen: and Romney was exactly the kind of guy you wanted in the White House, but his message was never delivered properly

Watch Bill Whittle explain it and you will understand.

>>The Republican Party would cease to exist.<<

I thought it was already dead. It is in Delaware.

Democrats were the major group elected until the last half of the 20th century. The democrats controlled the Texas state legislature as late as the 1990s. It wasn't until the 2002 elections that the republicans gained control of the Texas House. Today Republicans control both Houses of the Texas legislature, all statewide offices and a majority of the congressional delegation.

It took a long time for the GOP to become the dominate force in elections and hopefully it can stay that for some time to come.

Here is a Wikipedia listing of presidential election results in Texas going back to 1960.

Texas Presidential elections results
Year Republican Democratic
2012 57.19% 4,555,799 41.35% 3,294,440
2008 55.48% 4,467,748 43.72% 3,521,164
2004 61.09% 4,526,917 38.30% 2,832,704
2000 59.30% 3,799,639 38.11% 2,433,746
1996 48.80% 2,736,166 43.81% 2,459,683
1992 40.61% 2,496,071 37.11% 2,281,815
1988 56.01% 3,036,829 43.41% 2,352,748
1984 63.58% 3,433,428 36.18% 1,949,276
1980 55.30% 2,510,705 41.51% 1,881,148
1976 47.97% 1,953,300 50.08% 2,082,319
1972 66.20% 2,298,896 33.24% 1,154,291

1964 36.49% 958,566 63.32% 1,666,185

“The principal reason [Hispanic voters] go Democratic is the issue of illegal immigrants.”

Suggesting of course that Hispanics are inveterate law-breakers. People never explain why they feeeeeeeeeeeeel that way.

1986 redux -- amnesty and open borders -- a.k.a., comprehensive "reform."

We must surrender the U.S. to the undocumented Hispanic hordes to save the U.S. I get it.

(The Rat Party do love them votes and rat businessmen do love that tax-payer, subsidized cheap labor.. what I don't get is once they are declared legal they will organize and the labor won't be cheap. Go figure.)

Latinos voted for Obama because we weren't talking. And the only people who were talking to them were democrats telling Latinos how awful Republicans are and how we just want to destroy their lives. Of course Latinos are going to react by voting democrat. We did not make our case. We think that we need to discuss the border ad nauseum as if that is the only subject Latinos want to hear. And to even think about the border we are squeamish. We as conservatives have the right ideas that help everybody but we are not dialoguing about our fundamental beliefs. So Latinos end up dancing with the ones who brought them. We need to cut in.

Republican-styled capitalism is a modern day wonder. And our committment to life is unequaled.

We should shout it all from the rooftops.

“The Republican Party would cease to exist.”

Los `hispanico’ perros had a taste of the GOP dogfood, and spit it out, as we do.
So he says that like it’s a bad thing. The GOP couldn’t give a turkey sandwich to a starving man.
Toss the management, install conservatives and start over. Unfortunately, Boehner is doing the opposite.
Time to walk away.

Its not important if a particular party disappears. What is important is that constitutionalism is disappearing. That means the death of America. It didn’t happen overnight and it won’t be turned around by a single election if it is turned around at all.

This is a moral problem and it has to be attacked at its moral root. Yes, politics matters, but politics rests upon a moral foundation. Fail to attend to that and the politics is too little too late.

We are where we are because too many of us get our moral and spiritual values from the culture. The culture has to be renewed in every generation with a fresh injection of spirit or like a battery it drains down to its lowest common denominator. This is beyond the capacity of the GOP to fix; it can’t be fixed by politics alone.

The RATs have spent decades convincing hispanics that Repubs are their enemy. They believe it as the blacks believe it. Both groups are taught to hate America (and they do). Why do you think mexican americans are loyal to a stinkhole country like Mexico rather than takin pride in the US. They vote their identity first. Voting Repub is akin to being a race traitor. Good luck changing that.
