The talk has already started about a possible 2016 presidential bid by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, but before that happens friends say he’ll be busy rebuilding his personal wealth and restoring his family’s relationship with the Republican Party.

If he decides to seek the GOP nomination, it could put a damper on any plans by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio to run in four years, according to The New York Times. …

After this year’s loss to President Barack Obama, Republicans are looking for a candidate who can appeal to a different voter demographic that’s no longer dominated by white men and women. Many Republicans believe that Bush fits the bill as someone who can attract Hispanics and other minorities without sacrificing his conservative values. …

“At least, nobody will vote for Jeb until they do vote for Jeb.”

I don't know which candidate will survive the next GOP primary scrum, but I intend to vote for whomever that is because ceding the presidency to outright Marxists (probably Hillary, if she wants it?) simply cannot be the best alternative.

The Dem women are going to say “It is our turn! You AA’s already had your “first black” and who is better “qualified” than Hilarious, after her “brilliant” stint as SOS? (barf)

Most of the AA electorate not in jail or on parole and not dead (that would be the single black women) will gender identify with Hillary or whichever female Marxist they put up.

So just as in 2012, IMO it will come down to ABM, (Anybody But Marxist).

Whatever dynastic shortcomings Jeb has, he instantaneously solves the Hispanic-ID demographic problem with his Mexican wife and “brown” son, all fluent in Spanish. Jeb won't solve the "give me free stuff" demographic problem, but it would be a start. I expect the GOP to cave on comprehensive immigration (amnesty) this year to take that wedge issue off the table, despite Dem efforts to keep it alive...forever!

Reclaiming the Florida electoral votes would be much easier with Jeb.

Any GOP faction that stays home because their ideal candidate expressing their ideal articulation of their most favored issue failed to win primaries in the blue states that will never vote GOP in the general election will serve up another Marxist and a Marxist Supreme Court to boot!

If we are lucky, the five mostly conservative justices will stay healthy for another four years, but if not the USA will be in serious trouble.

Just one more reason of many why this independent is through with the stupid party. No more wasting votes on the elitist, hand-chosen, soft-lib R candidate for president to keep from "splitting the vote." There's no longer enough vote to even worry about splitting given the new lib/parasite/idiot/MSM majority.

It's all third party from now on for me. If we could pull enough momentum away from the republicrats, you'd see defections from both "parties" for a variety of reasons - all based on principle, rather than fear of "splitting the vote" in the current ultra-corrupt two-party system.

Jim was frequently warning and banning members who were behind Romney well before the primaries.

I can't believe people here have such severe amnesia.

I am well aware of those bannings. However, Romney supporters were still a very small percentage of Freepers - there was much more support for the various ABR candidates, and Romney had a hard time getting over 30-35 percent support in the early primaries.

Gingrich was my favorite too (with Santorum the runner up) for all the good that did. This was the time when Jim Rob was zotting the folks who dared ask if Mitt, who seemed to be enjoying the edge in unofficial polls, was half bad (half bad? he’s possibly more terrible than Barack!)

The “dude” has crickets when it comes to its original claim. There was a flood of relatively recent accounts who praised Mitt and perished. Like you said that was still a minority, and in no way represented old timers.

We need to take control of the Conservative Party, and then nominate a candidate, third party style, before the Republican primaries.

Then the Republicans can either join with the Conservative Candidate, or vote for their moderate, who will not get enough votes to win, given the third party.

You are assuming we the 20 million primary voters are all stupid! How exactly did the GOPe destroy any candidates? Did they put out negative Ads? The only Ads I recall were put out by candidates. My personal choice was based entirely on what I heard from the mouths of the candidates. The Ads made no impact on me.

Are you kidding me?

The personal dirt that destroyed Cain? The ridicule of Bachmann? The one-by-one destruction of each candidate that enthused conservatives was personally destroyed. That came from the RNC, not the DNC.

Now you are really stretching a bit...can you name just one name of a GOPe who was behind the bimbo eruptions on Cain?

They ALL had direct Chicago connection! There are no GOPe in Chicago worth mentioning. But the Democrat machine is the power in Chicago. No republican has won Chicago mayorship for 60 years+. Obama was most scared of Cain for obvious reasons.

Again some names please who ridiculed Bachmann.

If you can’t come up with any evidence, it is just hot air.

Look, if you want to believe that the GOPE is a friend to conservatives, you go right ahead and believe that.

Far be from me to shake you from your delusion.

But most of us here understand exactly what is happening between the RNC and the DNC and how Conservatives, regardless of race, gender, religion, or ethnicity, are the new Juden that these Statists are using as the scapegoats for every malady, both real and invented, in this country.

I never said or believe that GOPe are hook, line & sinker in congruent with pure conservatives.

What I do believe is that the current democrat party are demons. Since I have no other realistic choice except deemocrat or republican to be in WH, I will accept whoever wins GOP primaries, fair and square.

Your contention is that GOPe unfairly targeted more conservative candidates such as Cain & Newt & Bachmann, and you have been unable to present a single scrap of evidence.

Other than that we are on the same side...we prefer more conservative candidates.

I agree that the left are evil.

I didn’t bother providing a single piece of evidence because there is too much to choose from.

How about Christine O’Donnell in Delaware? That’s a perfect example and is fairly illustrative of how the GOPE regularly throws true conservatives under the bus in order to put socialist-lites/liberals/country-club republicans/limousine liberals/RINOs (whatever you want to call them) on the election ticket even if they can’t actually put them in office.

McCain and Romney are two more examples.

How about all the GOP spokesidiots who are trying to blame Romney losing on Rush Limbaugh and hist type of conservatives?

The examples are rife. I’m actually somewhat floored that there is a Freeper (if you’re a conservative and not a liberaltarian) that doesn’t feel thrown under the bus by the GOP. We’ve been their dog to kick since we (led by Rush) gave them the 1994 victories.

Sure, the DNC is ten times more evil. But the GOPE helps to groom all the elections to be between hardcore leftists and liberals. They haven’t given us conservative candidates and winners in years. We conservatives win DESPITE the GOPE, not because of them.

Holy Toledo....all this time I was under the impression Romney received more votes than other contenders in the primaries!

Another one of my blunders assuming O’Donnell actually defeated the GOPe preferred candidate in primaries but lost in an election in MD voted by Marylanders! And I do know she is not a witch!!

May be the GOPe have a secret weapon which enables them to get inside the heads of voters!

/S
