‘Father Barack Obama‘ mocked the Sign of the Cross at the White House yesterday.
It was an open mockery of the Christian prayer that is accompanied by the immortal words used by peasants and kings over the centuries: “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”.
Obama, who is left-handed, made the sign of the cross with his left hand, which out of respect for the centuries-long Christian practice, no one ever does.
Obama’s left-handed sign of the cross was made over a gobbling turkey during the National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation Ceremony, that takes place at the White House every year shortly before Thanksgiving, having been resurrected by George H.W. Bush in 1989.
Obama departed from the usual “presidential pardon” granting the turkey a “special dispensation” in words as he twice made his left-handed Sign of the Cross.
There were lots of giggles from the two Obama daughters and lots of gobbling from the turkey recorded during the ceremony now on YouTube.
Clearly using his left hand for all to see, Obama made the Sign of the Cross backwards.

I don’t think its funny either and is most definitely an insult to Catholics. However, we must remember, we are dealing with an arrogant, child in the WH, who thinks he is eye candy, amusing and God only knows what else goes on in that narcissistic mind of his.

I am encouraged by your kind comment. I have only two children and they are daughters. Always sort of take a defensive attitude towards famous peoples kids.
Drifting off topic here, but I remember Doris Day and her song "Whatever will be, will be". We can hope for the best.

There are plenty of legitimate transgressions of his to focus on which won't give ammo to those that already think the Right suffers from "ODS".
To those saying “No big deal” imagine the media hoopla had GWB or if Sarah Palin had done the same - we would be hearing how “stupid” they are for days, then polls asking if they are too stupid to be in office.
So it is a “big deal” because of the double-standards exhibited by the media - gaffes by the left are covered up, while gaffes by those on the right are covered 24/7
Which is how we end up with good people like Sarah Palin being demonized, and Marxist criminals like Commander Zero in the White House.

I view the antics of this president as mockery a 12 year old would do but mockery none the less and symbolic of this regime....
