Thanksgiving Celebrates Our 'Original Sin,' 'Views Virtually Identical To Nazis,' Prof Preaches
CNSNews ^ | 11/22/2012

Forget all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, today should be a day of fasting and atonement for American “sin.” That’s according to Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Jensen, known for his hard-left politics, also calls Thanksgiving a “white-supremacist holiday.”

Jensen’s opinion piece “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” appeared on the far-left, Soros-connected website Alternet on Thanksgiving eve. In it, he wrote how Native Americans suffered because of the “European invasion of the Americas.” He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. “How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?” he asked.

According to Jensen, Thanksgiving is “at the heart of U.S. myth-building. “But in the United States, this reluctance to acknowledge our original sin -- the genocide of indigenous people -- is of special importance today,” he explained.

Jensen has a long career in both working journalism and academia, including work as a copy editor at The St. Paul Pioneer Press and the St. Petersburg Times, as well as “volunteer editing and writing for the Texas Triangle, Austin (weekly statewide lesbian/gay paper).”

This wasn’t the first time Jensen has bashed America. He does so on a regular basis. Other Alternet pieces include headlines like “The Painful Collapse of Empire: How the ‘American Dream’ and American Exceptionalism Wreck Havoc on the World” or “What White People Fear.”

Alternet is part of the George-Soros-supported Media Consortium. It is one of 58 left-wing media operations that aim to create a progressive “echo chamber.”

Okay. It took us four paragraphs to get to the gist of his problem:

Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday in 1863.
The nazi party was formed 1919 with hitler becoming their leader 1921.

It would be the nazis that would have had to copy us.
Is he saying that the nazis copied our thanksgiving? For one, hitler was a vegetarian.
Sounds like the DEA should check his fridge.

Then send Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin to Camp Buchenwald to concentrate.

In what way was the sin of the white man any greater than that of the Comanche, who mounted on horseback like the Tatars of the old world, swept down on the Indian nations of Texas and decimated them? Furthermore, disease had far more to do with the melting away of the native peoples than white expansion. The whites did not deliberately cause those epidemics that invariably followed red contact with whites. The Spanish were not more cruel than the Aztecs that conquered their indian neighbors and offered up holocausts to their fierce gods. Yet 90% of the popuilation of MesoAmerica disappeared between 1520 and 1600 when the Spanish took their first census. The man is an insane racist whose inner demons make him lash out against whites in order to justify his own hatred of himself.

Weird timing-I just read a theory about how Leptospirosis may have wiped out the local tribes just BEFORE the Pilgrims landed.

In the old days we would hang a man for stealing our horse.

What should be done with those that steal the minds of our children - their future and our country?

Happy Thanksgiving......

According to a post by one of my FB friends (Deluded liberal on a perpetual self righteous white guilt trip), the original feast was a celebration of a massacre of Pequot indians that occured when “a band of Puritans— descended on their village and shot, clubbed and burned alive over 700 native men, woman and children.” in 1637. Supposedly, Gov. Winthrop was so pleased he declared a day of feasting and celebration.

I was having a hard time celebrating Thanksgiving this year because of the re-election and all. But if celebrating Thanksgiving still ticks off the lefties then I’m all for it.

Happy Thanksgiving!! I think that many of the Founders, excepting possibly George Washington, who was a gentleman, might tell this guy today - “Kiss our White Rumpuses!!” (That’s what they called them back then, I think.)

These purposely offensive articles churned out daily by the left are nothing more than an attempt to provide fodder for the push for a clamp-down on free speech. They WANT the political right to be so offended as to be willing participants in a push for anti-free speech legislation. And you can take that to the bank.

Ship him to the middle east!

The Europeans treated the Indians exactly like they treated each other, they were just much better at it. The vast majority of the continent was in the state of wilderness and thus open to anyone who wanted to claim it. The Indians had no right to keep settlers out. They had no right to land they were not using except to hunt and gather on.

As for similarities to the Nazis, compare the platform of the Democrats and the Nazi party From the thirties and they are virtually identical. Roosevelt’s 2nd bill of rights reads like the Nazi party platform word for word as does Obama’s.

Jensen is published in the Houston Comical quite a bit. Methinks Dr. Jensen should suffer from lead poisoning. He has been polluting young minds for decades.
