Shamed Facebook poster loses her job

Lindsey Stone — the Plymouth woman taking an online beating for posting a photo of herself flipping the bird at Arlington National Cemetery on Facebook — has lost her job.
“Lindsey resigned and we accepted her resignation,” LIFE Inc. CEO Diane Enochs told the Herald tonight.
LIFE Inc. of Hyannis — a Cape Cod nonprofit that helps adults with special needs — announced tonight that Stone, along with the woman who snapped the offending photo, are not working there.
Ironically, the formal announcement was made on Facebook.

losing her job is a consequence of her actions... now she should take it upon herself to educate herself on the sacrifices of those who wear the uniform
schools and parents no longer require children to sacrifice anything for their fellow man. she has no idea what it means to give anything up for someone else

How can you be so incredibly obtuse as to not realize people would be deeply offended? Which begs the next question- why would you yourself think a stunt like that was funny in the first place? I stood once when I was in high school (Ft. Hunt, class of ‘75)in awe of the soldiers guarding the Tomb of The Unknown Soldiers.
It would never have occurred to me to disrespect that place, or defile their honor.
And, I wasn’t a good or saved kid at that point in life.
