GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!
The Star Spangled Banner Verse Four (Click)
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Please let me know by Freepmail if you would like to get on or off my music pinglist

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Good evening Professor!
(Returning gentle hug and chaste smooch.)
It’s been a tough week, but I am hanging in there.
Tomorrow, I will listen to the classical music that you chose.
Thank you for that!

Driving up to the country to my mom’s tomorrow. About an hour, not too far. Should be nice, weather’s been pretty, no busy roads just two lane back roads through hilly countryside to the foot of the mountains.
I’ve got another Yardbirds YouTube, this one is the studio version of “For Your Love” set to what looks like a period video. The video itself is sort of silly but I can’t look away, those are some trippy white people all decked out in “Mad Men” attire, lol.

Remarkably my neighborhood, which was inland, was unaffected. We were, in fact, kind of an oasis. Other than some fallen trees (and my loss of internet for a few hours) there was little damage — and no loss of power. If I live to be 120 I will never again take things like gas, water, or heat for granted. So many people lost their homes, if not their lives.
During the storm, though, it was terrifying to hear the windows rattle. I was unable to go to work in Manhattan for a week, since the area of my workplace was without power (though no damage to buildings). Here again, I was lucky that my company paid for my “accidental vacation”; so many people lost their livelihoods. (During my exile in Brooklyn I even managed to catch up on some freelance.)
I had a girl staying with me for a few days, since her parents’ home was without power. I also gave money to the various Jewish communities that suffered extensive loss or damage. I really wish I could do more. If I didn’t already have people living with me I would have taken in a family.
This Thanksgiving I am counting all my blessings.

WOW, Mooch...so glad to hear that you were relatively unaffected. Very nice that you were able to take someone in and provide a safe haven.
