As St. Lucie County has reportedly missed the noon Sunday deadline to certify new numbers after a weekend recount of the first five days of early voting, the campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Allen West says more questions have arisen about how the election was conducted.
Todays actions cast an even greater cloud of suspicion over the results of St. Lucie County than existed before, Tim Edson, the campaign manager for the Palm Beach Gardens Republican, stated in a release.
Consequently, the highly suspect results will be submitted to the secretary of state today -- even though the canvassing board has already admitted they may contain serious errors.
Once again, Gertrude Walker has proven to be absolutely incapable of executing an accurate and fair election. This election is far from over. We will continue to fight on behalf of all voters in District 18 to ensure a fair and accurate count of their votes.
Walker was hospitalized last week and didnt attend the Friday night canvassing board meeting or the weekend refeeding of the five days of early voting through the tabulating machines at the elections office headquarters in Fort Pierce.
No update has been made on her condition.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the weekend refeed increased Democrat Patrick Murphys margin of victory from the .58 percent reported by the county on Nov. 10 to .65 percent in the district that includes all of St. Lucie and Martin counties and Northern Palm Beach County, which spurred Murphy to again declare victory.
Today at noon, it became clear Patrick Murphy will be officially certified as the next congressman from the 18th Congressional District, Anthony Kusich, Murphys campaign manager, stated in a release. The voters have spoken and Patrick Murphy is once again the clear winner. It is beyond time to put this campaign behind us and put the interests of the people of the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches first.
Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reported that preliminary results from the recount were forwarded to the state.
St. Lucie County elections supervisor's office had restarted the recount of the first five days of ballots from early voting in the Congressional District 18 contest at 8 a.m. on Sunday, after breaking just after 10 p.m. on Saturday.
The county canvassing board, which had narrowly ordered the recount in the contest between Murphy and U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Palm Beach Gardens, had halted the process of running the ballots through the tabulating machines late Saturday night to give county officials a rest.
Barring further court filings -- judges have advised West that he has 10 days to contest the contest once certified, while attorneys for his campaign have announced they would seek an emergency hearing on the deadline -- the results from St. Lucie County next head to the state.
According to state rules, Emergency means any occurrence, or threat thereof, whether accidental, natural, or caused by human beings, in war or in peace, that results or may result in substantial injury or harm to the population or substantial damage to or loss of property to the extent it will prohibit an election officers ability to conduct a safe and orderly election.
Floridas Elections Canvassing Commission, comprised of Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, meet Tuesday.
bless him..hope they have to prove every vote legal..
Right and the effort to stop fraud needs to start with early voting. I don't know how they got this gig going in so many states but it's obviously their winning ticket. Can we challenge the Constitutionality of it?
Way back when, you had to go pick up an absentee ballot yourself...not sent out to everyone. I got one and tore it up. Your right 1 day voting and if you cannot stand in line, go home. Those that care will stand in line. I do like the purple finger but the dem’s will say someone could be allergic to it. Picture ID is the best...I think you even need it for welfare....
Early voting is great and if the GOP had actually believed in it (which it didn’t, because half of the GOP appears to be over 90 and doesn’t trust these newfangled devices), we could have gotten our voters out there.
I live in Florida and when I went to vote (early) there were busloads of grannies being brought in from black churches, pulling up in the parking lot to vote for Obama. While Catholic churches could never get away with bringing in busloads of parishioners to vote, particularly since our bishop had spoken against Obama, apparently outright political activity and vote-steering is ok for black Protestant churches.
We should have been out there doing the same. Except that the problem is that we had a lousy candidate and even white working class males voted against him.
So we need two things next time: a more attractive, dynamic candidate, and a better logistical strategy for getting our voters to the polls.
********************************************
Today we get word that 900 votes were tallied in precinct 93 , a precinct that has only 7 registered voters.
“So we need two things next time...”
You’re right, assuming there will be a “next time”. I seriously doubt it.
Still, no matter who the right candidate might be, he/she can’t fight the democrat fraud. There is no way. We’re just screwed.
(I do like Bill Whittle’s take on the subject. Maybe he sould run!)
Don't buy what the media is selling.
It's pretty obvious that the Democrats cheated six ways from Sunday in Wisconsin. Scott Walker stomped Barrett in June; 5 months later Romney stomped Scott Walker's vote totals.
Strangely, Obama in turn stomped Romney's vote totals. Romney's totals were around Walker's totals, averaging 5-10% higher. Obama's totals averaged 40-50% higher than Barrett's in every county. GOTF.
Well, since they’re leaking the idea of running the lovely lady Moochelle the next time (think Eva Peron or, more recently, la viuda Kirchner), you’re right, there may not be another one.
Of course the Dems cheated. But they’re pretty crafty and they cheated by only the margin they needed to win - which wasn’t very much.
The next time around, we have to turn out our vote more effectively (as I said, I watched union-driven busloads of grannies from rural black churches pulling up outside of early voting here in Florida) and we also simply have to convince more people to vote for us.
We had a limp-noodle candidate with no principles, and while he had one flash of intelligence and agressiveness during the first debate, he could never sustain it because it wasn’t really him. And when he picked Ryan and got a bump (including from me), then he promptly gagged Ryan and did not let him get his message out because it might have sounded too conservative. Ryan wanted to go and preach his message of economic empowerment even to the black neighborhoods, and Romney wouldn’t let him do it.
Romney killed his primary competitors with vicious personal campaigns, but he was meek as a lamb against Obama.
So yes, cheating was a factor...but if we had had a candidate good enough to vote for, the Dems couldn’t have cheated so easily.
Thank you so very much!
WOO-HOO!
In the first debate, the Puppet-In-Chief insisted on doing things his way. He believed his own press - that he is "brilliant" and would stomp Romney into the ground. Well, he's not - he has only one gift.
Obama is somewhat like Dustin Hoffman in Rainman - he can read teleprompters, he can rehearse his answers and regurgitate them, or someone can direct him with an earpiece.
Crowley most likely practiced with him, or at least fed him the questions before the second debate, and assisted Obama with crucial facemasking and tripping at opportune times.
Obama didn't do the whole debate thing in college, and Romney did. That's he got beat so bad in the first debate. He had to be helped in the last two debates, and not just minor help.
Romney got out the vote - I didn't believe it myself till I looked at the Wisconsin numbers. His turnout was better than McCain-Palin - MUCH better.
Good for West. Voter fraud must be persued by every possible Constitutionally concerned entity in this country. The more the Leftists get away with it, the bolder they are as is apparent in this election cycle.
It has to be addressed NOW, and stopped. West is providing us all an excellent example.
What this article does not cover is that today on Sunday they discovered that Precinct #93 had 900 votes cast yet only 7 voters registered in the Precinct. This was reported in the LIBERAL Palm Beach Post. Deeper evaluation reveals that this entire Precinct is an Old Age home.
When you move your parents to an Old Age home the last thing on anyones mind is to “re-register” for voting. With the turnover and all it isn’t surprising that there were only 7 registered voters.
This environment is fertile for the Democrat operatives to circulate absentee ballots for signature and other shenanigans with little chance of being caught. This Precinct alone would easily bring West to under .50% requiring a full recount. UNLESS of course you believe that this 893 surplus of votes were for West......Cummon!

Romney was the choice we had and we had to pull him over the finish line to win and stop the poisonous leftist policies that we would suffer under oboma, and to allow us to then work toward a Conservative candidate who COULD win in 2016, But, no, too many people who could have make it a win for Romney decided to NOT VOTE because of their principles and Romney was short the number of votes to win, though if those folks had understood the strategy of a win for Romney AND voted for Romney, Romney would have won. So, so much for principles and how you can lose a Presidential race because you can't see the bigger picture. NOW, we worry that we may never get to vote again, in view of the mega voter fraud, and the lack cooperation from the Republican Party, the lack of real leadership, organization and the execution of well-coordinated planning to get the vote out.
WE HAVE REAL WORK TO DO BEFORE 2016.
We must get rid of the left, we must overhaul the voting system we have..voter fraud is much toooo easy to carry out under the present system, and the Republicans must come together with the Conservatives or we will lose again. We need a leader, a united front...we need to get the blueprint the left uses to plan, coordinate and execute the successful plan that they carried out to win this election, EXCEPT OF COURSE VOTER FRAUD. And we have to start NOW.
Why is early voting bad? It should be easier not harder to vote.
The ballot was mailed to the rig I was working. I filled it out and put some Norwegian stamps on the ballot and it was on the next chopper to Stavanger and then mailed to the United States. All that was necessary for me to vote was inform my local voting precinct that I would not be in the USA for election day and tell them where to mail my absentee ballot.
Early voting is an open invitation to voter fraud!!!!!!!!!
I nominate William Wallace as the 2016 GOP candidate (what? Dead people vote in large numbers. why not nominate one for POTUS?)
One reason it is bad is that it is inconsistent and if we had honest judges and politicians our entire voting system would be seen as a violation of the equal protection clause.
