Right and the effort to stop fraud needs to start with early voting. I don't know how they got this gig going in so many states but it's obviously their winning ticket. Can we challenge the Constitutionality of it?
Early voting is great and if the GOP had actually believed in it (which it didn’t, because half of the GOP appears to be over 90 and doesn’t trust these newfangled devices), we could have gotten our voters out there.
I live in Florida and when I went to vote (early) there were busloads of grannies being brought in from black churches, pulling up in the parking lot to vote for Obama. While Catholic churches could never get away with bringing in busloads of parishioners to vote, particularly since our bishop had spoken against Obama, apparently outright political activity and vote-steering is ok for black Protestant churches.
We should have been out there doing the same. Except that the problem is that we had a lousy candidate and even white working class males voted against him.
So we need two things next time: a more attractive, dynamic candidate, and a better logistical strategy for getting our voters to the polls.
Why is early voting bad? It should be easier not harder to vote.
