Carlos Gutierrez, adviser to Mitt Romneys presidential campaign, said Sunday he was shocked by Romneys comments this week on minorities.
I think we lost the election because the far right of this party has taken the party to a place that it doesnt belong.
CNN reported:
In an interview set to air in full Sunday on CNNs State of the Union with Candy Crowley, Gutierrez also sharply criticized Romneys remarks made on a call Wednesday with donors following his loss in last weeks election. Romney explained his loss in part by pointing to gifts President Barack Obama gave to certain groups that turned out in high numbers.
Gutierrez, the former secretary of commerce, said he was shocked by Romneys comments.
I think we lost the election because the far right of this party has taken the party to a place that it doesnt belong, he said. We are the party of prosperity, of growth, of tolerance. I mean these immigrants who come across and what they do wrong is they risk their lives, they come here and they work because they want to be part of the American Dream.
All the RINO/Commies are throwing Romney under the bus.
We lost because Romney’s advisors. Way to try to blame everyone else, Romney. The RNC allowed an extreme left-wing liberal with a history of it to run on the ticket.
How is it that when the Rats lost the House in 2010 they didn’t speak of abandoning their extreme positions on Obama, amnesty for illegals, welfare, homosexual marriage, or Obamacare?
Well, thankfully we got another 4 years of obama instead.
Hope you enjoy it.
Any conservative wanting to help the cause of conservatism should register as an independent immediately.
Once the Republican party completes burning itself out, a new American party can be born.
Heh.
Look, this might be the thought of what one asswipe says.
Romney’s assessment is a bit more accurate: Obama’s giveaways.
Ignore this assclown Guiterrez.
“no one stayed home, ...”
Yes, they did. Less voted for him this time than voted for McInsane last time.
What the GOP thinks is no longer relevent in any way, shape or form.
This Carlos Gutierrez idiot uses the usual ploy of substituting “immigrants” when the subject is foreign nationals who decide to move to the United States in violation of our laws.
They are foreign nationals, citizens of other countries, illegal aliens. They are not “immigrants”.
Of course to a racialist who believes that his own ethnic group should have the right to ignore any laws that they don’t find convenient this comes naturally.
And the La Raza supremacy crowd is finding a lot of allies in the open borders/treason wing of the GOP and with some dimwits in the conservative media.
I wonder if Hannity will invite Carlos on so that the two of them can crow about how we need to have Comprehensive Immigration Reform, the same vile idea that we beat down when Dubya, the illegal aliens’ best friend, tried to ram it through.
“What the GOP thinks is no longer relevent in any way, shape or form.”
That’s true. Besides for all the known reasons, add a few more: The Democraps will be getting amnesty through so that adds a few million voters for them; they will add to the already large welfare population; and they will add more welfare programs. With all that, the tide has tuned from at least getting a win here and there on ideas to Santa Clause. We cannot defeat free money, the Democrat party of freedbies.
BS. The American people were not allowed to select their own candidate; not once, but twice. Two candidates who did not have a chance. Both were at the bottom of the list of candidates who suddenly became our candidate. Both miraculously came alive near the end of the race to make us believe we could win. The truth is McCain had already thrown the race. Btw, one of the main reasons McCain was chosen was he may have had a problem with his birth certificate as does Obama. I suspect Romney threw the race too; but may have been forced too. Both of these men had to survive for whatever reasons their careers. Both have proven records of doing not what is right for America or its people. The Democrats have proven records of never doing anything for their country or its people. It’s for one world government with the people of the world as slaves.
If we call together all the Tea Parties and hit the ground running RIGHT NOW recruiting people to a party that stands to save America from destruction.
I don't vote for the better liberal. I don't vote for liberals period.
GOP wants me to vote for their candidate, he needs to be conservative.
I don't disagree one bit with that statement.
However, do you think the ME would be acting up the way it is if Romney had won?
Just asking your opinion.
I couldn't say one way or the other but I say this, when the sheite really starts flying over there, I'd prefer that Romney was in office, I'm sure Bibi would have too.
I get it just fine.
I don’t get another four years of obama though, in fact, I hope I live through it.
With each passing day I am losing any of what little remains of my hope.
Not because of the libs. I know they are what they are. Not because of the GOP. Because this election season and fallout proved yet again what I already well understood.
What finishes me is that many of the supposed rock ribbed right are so F’ing stupid that in light of statements by the GOP T E L L I N G these people to their face (via tv and media) that conservative ideas and candidates are the problem/cause of our losses, they still come to sites like FR and say
“Well we gotta win back the party and we gotta support them cuz there’s nowhere else to go...”
...and any of a number of other statements that qualify them as Stockholm Syndrome club members.
Folks, these people are our problem. These people help the GOP keep us un the GOP reservation every bit as much as the dems do with black voters. And I defy any of the GOP fanboy/girls here to explain in public detail how I am wrong if they think they can spin it.
Until the right wing of the now fully democrat GOP walks away and stops fighting a thoroughly corrupted party, we will only continue the country’s march to the right.
Period.
It's like being married to a loose floozie who telegraphs that she doesn't want you again and again, gets caught having affairs and one night stands, and after a while she becomes verbally abusive because to her, you just sit there and take it, and she's lost all respect for you. This is the Republican Party.
You, on the other hand, think you're being honorable and true, hanging in there trying to make it work and hoping she'll finally see the light, finally straighten up and act right. This is the conservative base.
Not going to happen. Time to find a better mate.
Edit. March to the LEFT/
I am so disgusted I cannot even type straight.
Expecting voters to know whats going on and their reliance on MSM is just part of why our great loss. While there are examples of fraud which may close up the gap, the gap is too big to blame the loss on fraud ..
.Expecting GOP Es to redress media bias. or divert their agenda or have Romney call Obama a congenital liar (let alone a socialist) or even point out that the fact and figures released by the white house were allways questionable is another . But the fault lies really in the messaging the Republican campaign gave.choking on political correctness parameters devised by the socialist party known as Democrat ..
Romney ran a Johnny One Note Campaign. Used a poison dart blow gun when he should have used a cannon loaded with grape shot because he had pleanty of stuff he could fill that cannon barrel with..
They failed to hammer away on what will happen when Obama gets returned; The Obama past due 2013/14 Tax Increases. The impact of Obamas choking energy policies requiring reliance on intermittent sources wind and solar ,restricted drilling, use of coal ,ban on fracking, and that related price..(a socialist construct never branded as such) was a bread and butter issue which reached into every demographics pocketbook..Beside reminding voters of the rampant corruption accompanying it because of previous positions on GW global warming or “Romneycare”.
Along with the impact of Supreme Court Appointments.. 18,000 new IRS agents and on and on. Including rampant corruption . Some were very briefly touched most werent and Benghazi was left to languish. Then there is Obamas personal extravagance and behavior refusing to visit Nashville after its disaster showing up at New Orleans after Mitt visited it.
Instead we got a sales pitch on executive ability but not the reason why one should toss the old model and buy his. That print and tv pitch , 20 million new jobs, was given a discrarded dose of skepticism .
In addition Rove who I understand was handling the Charter PAC senate campaign played games. His material never warned voters that IF OBAMA GETS RE-ELECTED AND SENATE CONTROL REMAINED . .. OBAMACARE AND ALL THE TAX INCREASES THAT GO WITH IT WILL NEVER GET REPEALED Let alone tie into or cover the formentioned grape shot which would have perhaps changed that body. I don’t recall any of that material directed toward that fact.
Finally they didnt believe the polls which turned out were dead on. Even going as far as setting up focus groups which could have looked into whats going on . Even to the point of going out to local eateries and bars and eavesdrop into conversations and pick up on topics being discussed.(chat rooms twitter too contrived)
Our local small population (-8000) rural blue county GOP had at the outset good and growing attendence at their meetings 50 plus. At the meeting the Thursday before the election only about a dozen people showed up and I knew we were in trouble .
Nuts...This loss is inexcuseable. While I truly don’t believe Mitt Romney would ever continence losing, I’m begining to believe many GOPE’s didn’t want to see the AHCA known as ZerO care stay on the books...
