As many as 1000 Service Employees International Union (SEIU) workers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are considering going on strike on Thanksgiving eve in what is the busiest travel day of the year.
Andrew Gross-Gaitan, the director of the Southern California Airports Division of SEIU, said the protest would be in response to an LAX contractor that failed to comply with the citys Living Wage Ordinance.

I don't think any of them think much past what it is they want right now. The socialists get their support by promising to give it to them.
A contractor can’t afford to comply with some living wage law, so the SEIU will make sure that some family in LA going to see grandma suffers for it.
Thanks again Obama, you ****.
Other people will remember, but those in liberal bastions like LA and NYC will largely forget. They have more important things to concern themselves with. By the way did you hear that Kim Kardashian went to the Marine Corps Ball and that Justin Beiber threw up on stage?
When the people start to get fed up with unions, expect police officers, firemen, and teachers to be paraded around as victims of the evil taxpayer and used as an example of why union=good. You don't hate teachers do you? I mean teachers - its for the children.
Besides if it weren't for "skilled union labor" they could hire just anyone to work at LAX and your plane would probably fall out of the sky. You wouldn't want something to happen to Little Timmy while he was flying to Grandmother's house for Winter Holiday Celebration would you?
The union knuckledraggers sure are some greedy bass turds. Give ‘em a raise and they start whining that it still isn’t enough. I don’t know who these Neanderthals intend to work for once they finally destroy capitalism. The federal government I guess.
That will prove their point, how? Most off the clock will be rushing home to be with their own families and some turkey and not in any picket line.
What’s the big deal? Who in their right mind would be flying to LAX (located in Californicate). I could envision thousands of sane people flying out of LAX with one way tickets to a state of sanity. But if you are in need of a good screwing, then go for it .... first TSA gets their hands on you, the airlines screw you for over priced tickets and absolutely no service and finally Californicate screws you because you are fresh tax meat.
Good. Bring it. Part of what made it politically feasible in the UK to squashthe unions was for people to see just how worthless they are. Let Americans see what strike after strike brings.
EX-LAX - to take care of the constitipation that is affecting the SEIU. maybe it is time for SEIU to go the way of exlax (It is no longer made).
All this is part of Odumbo’s plan to cause for confusion and create chaos. what a country under Odumbo.
Just the American people have to do is stand strong and some people will realize that Democrat means shared misery.
Hey who was that guy—military—in Katrina, who said, “You can’t fix stupid.”
Hey who was that guy—military—in Katrina, who said, “You can’t fix stupid.”
Several hundred? Try a couple hundred thousand stranded passengers and disrupted family Thanksgiving reunions.
And the unions think this will draw the public to their side? Utter insanity.
wouldn’t it be great if Romney came in to Hostess Corp, turned it around and knocked out the unions involved and everyone got re-hired! HA HAHAHA!
Or more if missed connections propagate through the system.
LOL. Heck of a good idea!
Just stay far away from California in general and LA in particular.
That's actually pretty funny!
"Ok, ah, listen up everyone. You guys are under paid, so what were're gonna do is band together in protest [clapping]! We're gonna do this the day before Thanksgiving when it'll really stick it to the man [more clapping]. So, I'm gonna ask everyone, underpaid and all... the day before Thanksgiving... to work a double shift or come in if you're off - for free, ah, no pay - to march for brotherhood [chirp, chirp]. Whaddya all say, let's do the SEIU cheer TOGETHER [chirp, cough, chirp]"
More like a press release to an obliging media.
The loss of Thanksgiving travel revenue may hit the airlines and supporting industries as hard as plant closures did Hostess. How’d that work out for the unions?
Excellent! Going out to my Dim Lib list.
Just go all “Hostess” on their ass.
