The Golden State has reached a poverty rate that is now twice as bad as West Virginias and substantially worse than the rates of poverty in Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas, according to a new measure of poverty developed by the federal Census Bureau.
Democrat-run California earned its last-place rank under the federal governments new measure of poverty, which incorporates more detailed analyses of welfare payments and the local costs of food, gasoline and housing California snatched the last-place prize from Mississippi, which had the highest poverty rate under the older and simpler measure, which gauged peoples ability to buy basic services and goods. Democratic California Gov. all in the plan because now we'll need another big fat stimulus up the arse for the bankers and the elites to steal....
Well, I’ll be damned: “enlightened” liberal policies do not create the socialist utopia that they purport they do?!?!? I’m sure that the argument will be: “if the few Republicans here would have not gotten in the way by being the party of ‘NO’, we could have accomplished more to prevent this”.
Yeah, right!!!!!!! Eat corn, maggots!
“what can Brown do for you?”
(apparently, make you poor and keep you poor)
Great news that the Census Bureau had the balls to rejigger the way the measure poverty and that put California at the top — where they belong. So now, Mississippi, Alabama and West Virginia can look down their noses at California.
“We want Democrats! We want Democrats!”
“Only Democrats are compassionate!”
“After they enslave us and make us wholly dependent on them for our every need they treat us real good! So everyone should vote Democrat.”

Califorinia is the model for Obama’s America. There will be an upper class and a shrinking middle class, most of those will sink lower. Then there will be third world areas. When I get to travel there I drive my rental car into the barrios to get a sneak peek of what’s in store for all of us.
Indeed, California is fast becoming a fuedal state, populated by a handful of very wealthy and millions upon millions of poor, unskilled, uneducated immigrants and their decendants. Meanwhile, the middle class has been streaming out of the state for Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado for decades. The only “middle class” to speak of in California will soon be unionized public employees.
Our sorry state of Minnesota is going to do all they can to ‘catch up’ to CA between more sanctuary cities and higher taxes on producers.
The old: three guesses and the first two don’t count.
Forget about the succession movement, can we just vote them out?
Remember when California was a golden state?
Millions can neither learn from experience nor comprehend the obvious.
Now that the DEms own it all,, just think of what they can do to make it even more likely most companies will pull out in 5 years.
California’s turning into a John Steinbeck story .
“Our sorry state of Minnesota ....”
Living in the state of Connecticut, we just skipped off the cliff. n/s
Well, you still haven't yet caught up to the People's Democratic Socialist Republic of Illinois.
Marx Dayton will die trying.
