Rep. Peter King appeared on Fox News this morning and stated that David Petraeus testified that the original CIA talking points about Benghazzi indicated it was a terrorist act and cited al Qaeda involvement. Somewhere after leaving CIA, the talking points were changed. He did not know who changed them.
Do we get there through peaceful means, or do we have to go through a civil war first?
You and myself are the only ones I know that have came to that conclusion. My reasons are that the ambassador had information that could be embarrassing to both obama and Hillary.To wit: He knew where the bodies were buried. In addition to that, his usefulness was over. He went from an asser to a libality. And since dead men tell no tales, the attack was to cover his murder.The others were just collateral damage.
No worse than the world knowing that there was an attack and we did nothing to stop it.
The US Embassy was under attack, and then a US CIA facility was under attack, and the POTUS does not talk to the CIA Director about it? Ever?
Petraeus likely watched it from Langley unless he was on the road at the time. There was no mention of him being in on Obama’s 5pm meeting that I’ve seen yet.
The DSS agent was on the radio with everyone and had cameras going too, he was killed while still radioing everyone and sending pictures, according to Col. Hunt.
..and Ft.Hood was “workplace violence”.

Yes the video protest/cover was also planned weeks before and not a flash mob. I think so.. and after what did they do? They moved to ‘kill’ US speech. Likewise, what happened after F&F cartel gun run they moved to ‘kill’ US guns.
At that time he testified some viewed it as him throwing obama under the bus.

Is that all incompetence? Or did it take planning to make all that happen?

This isn't just about getting re-elected, that's certainly a side benefit, this is about the big enchilada. No more Israel, an end to western influence in the ME and the establishment of The United States of the Muslim Brotherhood in the ME. ie the new Caliphate.

Don’t forget Obama calls Netanyahu. Seems I read somewhere that Obama had a long phone conversation with him while the attack was going on.

This to me signals a glimmer of hope. That is: that there are some Congresspersons that have such a huge ego that they will get bent out of shape when they are not treated with the respect they feel that they deserve. I don’t know if this is the case with Feinstein, but I hope there are others who are really angry about all this - if not for the country, at least that their enormous egos are all upset because they were not informed as they should have been. This may be what it takes to trigger some *real* investigations and not just pretend.
That is something (amongst a lot of others!) that has bugged me from the beginning. To the best of my knowledge (and I haven't had a lot of time to really run this down), the first mention anywhere that I have seen of this "video" was in the Tweets from the Cairo embassy on 9/11/12. (In that infamous tweet stream they started apologizing for this "video" that day.)
I would be interested to know if anyone has ever found any mention of this "video" prior to those tweets that day. (It seems to me like they had that "excuse" ready to go, for that day, and introduced it into the mix by plan. And that is highly suspicious in and of itself, IMO.)

Fox News was told that neither Clapper nor Morell knew for sure who finalized that information. And they could not explain why they minimized the role of a regional Al Qaeda branch as well as the militant Ansar al-Sharia despite evidence of their involvement.
One would think Obama would meet with Petraeus directly since the annex in Benghazi was under the operational control of the CIA. It was the CIA station chief in Benghazi who was directing actions on the ground after the consulate was hit.
Without getting too far down into the weeds, the role of the DNI in operational matters is tangential at best. Petraeus was appointed by Obama. The idea they can only talk with one another is thru intermediaries suspends belief.

During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.
The Bush records are not yet available electronically for analysis, officials tell me the former president held his intelligence meeting six days a week, no exceptions — usually with the vice president, the White House chief of staff, the national security adviser, the director of National Intelligence, or their deputies, and CIA briefers in attendance. Once a week, he held an expanded Homeland Security briefing that included the Homeland Security adviser, the FBI director and other homeland security officials. Bush also did more than 100 hour-long “deep dives” in which he invited intelligence analysts into the Oval Office to get their unvarnished and sometimes differing views. Such meetings deepened the president’s understanding of the issues and helped analysts better understand the problems with which he was wrestling.
So did someone try to blackmail Petraeus with knowledge of his affair?
