We Boomers saw the commies, libs, anarchists and America haters in action during the 60s and 70s but thought maybe it was a “phase” we had to go through...now we see it was the beginning of the end of this country.
I feel the same way you do and the feeling of despair and hopelessness can be overwhelming sometimes...

Yes, you are right that we saw those early gains of the leftists as just a phase. But, piece by piece, they have successfully deconstructed so much of our cultural and moral underpinning. And it happened right in front of our eyes.

On election night, I just cried myself to sleep, and I am, by no means, a woman who cries easily. I don’t describe my feelings as hopelessness; it is more like profound sorrow, a sorrow that feels just like the death of a family member.
