NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -
A group of Wal-Mart workers are planning to stage a walkout next week on Black Friday, arguably the biggest holiday shopping day for the world's largest retail store.
The walkout builds on an October strike that started at a Wal-Mart in Los Angeles and spread to stores in 12 other cities. More than 100 workers joined in the October actions.
One of the workers who plans to join next week's walkout is William Fletcher, who works at a Wal-Mart in Duarte, Calif.

If you like Estate taxes you are a moron. No other way of saying it.

13 stores, that’s what, an average of 8 employees out of over 400?
If they think they can survive without unemployment benefits or another employer taking a risk on them...
I thought walmart had an obamacare waiver
“we need DEATH TAXES for the super rich.”
Go back to DU. We’re pretty much Americans on this site.
Someone needs to remind them that the Chinese shoot their employees when they strike. Duh!
and just keep on walking.
So stupid. This is the year Wal-Mart has the least in storage for Christmas back up due Obama, and Company.
Every year Wal-Mart has a trick they work with a major trucking organization in which they consume a horrendous amount of equipment for a couple to three months prior to Christmas. This gives them the advantage in stocking inventory for Christmas without extra warehousing costs. It works for them, and the trucking company.
This year due the economic situation Wal-Mart has ordered far less than ever before for this coming Christmas inventory, and these dumbasses are going to walk eh.
Probably doing Wal-Mart a favor.
Now that’s a “Twinkie Defense” I like.
Good, that’ll create job openings.
There will be millions of people working on Thanksgiving day and night, get over it. Cops, firemen, military, and any other operation that runs 24/7. I have been there and done that just like millions of others.
I actually liked working the big holidays, usually bonus money and a quieter work day. Plus, not having to referee the fights at the family gatherings.
Got curious; there's no William Fletcher at the Duarte, CA store at the corner of Mountain and the 210 who is scheduled to work either Thursday or Friday.
Work schedules are posted by the door in most stores, and in most stores, you can simply ask the greeter to check the schedule to see if someone's working a particular day.
Yup, stick the "or more" part. Our area Walmart won't even take applications. They don't have the space to put any more.
“I shop elsewhere-—” Yup and so do I. Walmart lost me way back in the 1980’s when they “went Chinese “. I might have been in one somewhere by accident but I’m sure I never did any bizness. As long as their main product line is Chicom AND Sam Junior is a O-Muzzie freak I don’t care what happens to them. Oh, and by the way, they have ZERO customer service. Try getting something fixed that they sell.
You can’t paint the entire Walton family (and actually from what’s been said here this guy isn’t running the company) because of one whackadoo libtard in it.
I mean everyone’s family has some libtard in it somewhere, I do, I can’t help it, they’re family. You just minimize the damage and try to stay civil because there may come a day/event that shakes their world, and then they’re really ready to openly listen to you.
012 stores
100 people
??? non-employee participation to get that number
LMAO
Unemployment rate hovering around 11% in the state
That's it folks, "Hostess" them. That'll show em!
I can't wait until Hostess employees start looking for a replacement job. Too soon old. Too late smart.
Exactly
2,200,000 employees.
Thank you for your service.
Please turn in your Tea Party key to the executive wash room.
