The death of a journalists 11-month-old son in Gaza on Wednesday has prompted a flood of poignant messages online -- and a media backlash -- when pictures of Jihad Misharawi, a BBC Arabic video editor, showed him carrying the body of his dead son.
Mishrawis son, Omar, was killed after Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip fell on his Gaza home, according to the BBC.
Omar is among 16 people killed in Gaza since Wednesday afternoon, including four children, according to Al Arabiya correspondents. Fighting began when Israels targeted killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jaabari on Wednesday. Since then, Palestinian fighters have fired around rockets over the border.
The death of Mishrawis son at first prompted anger from online commentators and news blogging sites over the BBCs alleged lack of, or minimal, reporting on the killing.
When BBC ignores Israeli murder of its own cameramans baby, what hope for other Palestinians? an article on The Electronic Intifada blogger/ activist-based website questioned, alleging that the broadcaster totally ignored the killings on its Wednesday night news bulletin.

Bkmrk for later
Don’t start no s**t , there won’t be no S**t.
Israeli’s didn’t start this, if there is a problem blame it on Hamas, they started it. You shoot rockets into Israel you will get them back. That’s why they call it war.
Of curse the press doesn’t show the Israeli dead, that doesn’t fit their agenda.
america will git on the wrong side of this for sure
Lucky kid, he gets his 72 porcine Virgins right away, with no delay.
Sorry. When the stunt babies are passed around for propaganda shots with a mommy over here and a daddy over there and a rescue worker over yonder, we become unsympathetic to the real casualties on your side caused by the hatred and violence perpetrated by your side. Stop training your babies from birth to throw rocks and bombs, and we will think about becoming sympathetic towards your (phony? staged-for-photos?) dead babies.
I simply don’t believe it.
If these people tell me that water is wet, I’m going to check for myself.
Poor Omar the tent maker. He lived mired in islam and therefore could not protect his son. Perhaps he should have known that his fellow muslims lobbed 150 missile into Israel and that there would be a terrible response. Perhaps he should have just tended to his tent making business?
*Yawn*
Now I suppose we’re supposed to be angry about the “right wing” media?
I haven’t given an obama since reading this a few years ago:

Ask BOR?
Dead journalist spawn is not really a bad thing
Well, if Hamas wasn’t launching missiles at Israel, then Israel wouldn’t have to fight back.
It’s like a bully crying to his mom that he got punched in the nose.
Without question, the aggressor is Hamas, and the victims are the innocent.
He was hoping his kid would grow up to be a suicide bomber and get to kill other Jews.
Looks like a white-clothed wrapped shake of ham, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt: Looks like a white-clothed sack of potatoes!
I forget. Who started this war?
“Fighting began when Israels targeted killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jaabari on Wednesday. Since then, Palestinian fighters have fired around rockets over the border”
Bovine Excrement!! Awesome example of media bias and re-working history to suit themselves/lie to the world. Over 200 rockets had been fired from Gaza BEFORE that jerk was killed. The terrorists in Gaza started it and they LOVE,LOVE,LOVE to hide behind children & in schools while they attack others.
well maybe if HIS FRIENDS were not lobbing missiles into Israel then this would not have happened
Israel DID NOT ATTACK, they DEFENDED THEMSELVES in response to BEING ATTACKED. Should they have just sat there while they were being bombed? How about we find a baby YOUR SIDE killed in Israel?
