Paula Broadwell, the author who allegedly had an affair with former CIA Director David Petraeus, is suspected of storing significant amounts of military documents, including classified material, at her home, potentially in violation of federal law.
A source familiar with case told ABC News that Broadwell admitted to the FBI she took the documents from secure government buildings. The government demanded that they all be given back, and when federal agents descended on her North Carolina home on Monday night it was a pre-arranged meeting.

By the way, she was either working for Team Marxist in the White House to do a HIT on Petraeus, OR she was being paid by a foreign source for information on our counter-terrorism activities. If the latter, it’s entirely possible that the attack on our Embassy resulted from information she supplied to that foreign source; prison, Stevens’ weapons brokering, etc..

It’s also entirely possible (and IMHO more likely) that she’s been in the intel community so long that she got the “I’m special’s” and figured, “I know the rules, I’ll keep them safe; besides, I’m cool and get to look at this sexy intel stuff, and P4 will cover for me because, you know, I’m writing a BOOK and stuff!”
Seen it too many times: people with TS/SCI (and higher) getting cocky and careless.
Almost every document written in the US Army these days is classified. The memo announcing the upcoming softball tournament probably has “FOUO” (For Official Use Only) on it. FOUO is considered classified. They did this to keep everyone from handing everything to the press.
Broadwell is a Reserve Officer. She graduated from West Point and was probably on the path to the stars. Something happened to her military career. Maybe it’s as simple as the fact that she got married and had kids. Every Army Officer dreams of being a general. She wasn’t going to be a four star general in the Reserves. Maybe she wanted to live vicariously through Petraeus by having an affair.
I think it’s more sinister than that. If you look at how she wormed her way into Petraeus deepest personal life, this was more than a book writing mission. Sounds like a classic ‘honey trap’ operation to me. Question is, WHO was paying her; possibly FOREIGN source to get information? Note how hot and heavy the FBI is raiding her house. This is more than a fling thing.
If she really fancied herself as a great or evolving writer, she MAY have just stockpiled the secrets to use in future books. That is a naive, but possible, explanation. But that is giving her much benefit of the doubt, and I tend to agree with you that there is likely a more sinister motive/explanation here.
A great scene in Team America was when the two female fighter pilots got into a ‘cat fight’ right in the middle of a ‘dog fight’.

I think her roots and ethnicity are raghead. I will not be surprised to learn that she’s a muzzie agent. Anything they might do, regardless how low-down, in the cause to defeat us infidels, is considered “righteous” in muzzielands.
