Pelosi Presser now on. Pelosi is surrounded solely by women.
"It took millions of women to reelect Obama. You are looking at the future of America – women. Diversity. The DLC now has a majority of women and minorities. We now have our own gavel. We have something more glorious – unity. I come here with my sisters – when I came to Congress 25 years ago there were 23 Dem women. Today we have over 60 House Dem women. Not enough, but more. We took early responsibility to increase the number of Dem women. Two of our women have gone on to the Senate in 2013. One is only the second woman of color to serve in the Senate..."
That last paragraph can be summed up as “identity politics”
And that’s exactly where we are today.
