Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer on Tuesday said the White House used David Petraeus’s affair to get the CIA director to give testimony about the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that was in line with the administration’s position on the matter.

In order redeem his honor, after 37 years of giving and hearing speeches about “Duty, Honor, Country,” Petreaus might attempt to redeem his honor in front of congress.

He blew up their ammo when he inserted TMI in his letter of resignation. There was absolutely no reason for him to be that graphic otherwise. They likely have no more leverage over him.
This is what I’ve been saying along...Petraeus’ being forced to resign one week after the election and before he was going to testify before Congress about BenghaziGate s highly suspect. You know they are scared of what he knows and were looking for any irt get could find well in advance of the election. They say the investigation by the FBI began in May 2012 when Broadwell sent threatening messages to Kelly. This is complete bullshit. Sources are indicating that they’ve been having affair for as long as 4 years. Something would have come up way before this if that was the case. I say 0 is working Hoover style and is using his G-men to dig up dirt on potential threats in case he needs it in the future. 0 isn’t fooling anyone.
Because Petreus, as smarmy as his personal behavior has been in this situation, did the right thing and resigned. Bill Clinton has no shame, and his constituency thinks he did no wrong.
