THE PROBLEM
Warning signs are flashing on the dashboard for our party. Some of the problems are tactical in nature; others are strategic. We can’t ignore them and expect to assemble a winning electoral coalition in the future.
We need a state-of-the-art political infrastructure fueled by rock-solid data that can be relied upon to turn out voters when we need them in the places they’re needed most. We need accurate survey data, and technology in place that will ensure such data is put to use. And as I noted earlier, our strategy at all levels must be aimed at reaching potential voters from all walks of life. That doesn’t mean changing our principles; it means changing our approach.

At my office, we have a cell phone to be used by staff when out if they do not want to use their personal cells phones. As it turns out, it is is used very rarely. So, I picked it up yesterday and discovered 6 voice mails from the Census Bureau. Yep, six. Late this afternoon, it rang, I answered and found myself talking to the....Census Bureau. I explained that the # they had been calling was a business cell, never issued to an individual. I was asked, are you safe, are you driving? No, I said. The man on the phone said, well we have been calling to have you take a SURVEY. Really?

You are about the first to recognize he was dealt a shitty hand. Although at this point I’m not sure if he’s right guy for this time. A charismatic messenger would be the ticket and I like Jim Robinson’s reiteration of Mark Levin’s idea of electing someone outside congress for the Speakership. We may be able to get approval ratings above 10% if they tried to use that ploy. A true conservative with a Reaganist charm.....lol
Boehner’s probably the straightest arrow I’ve seen.. I get tired just watching him. But because Republicans won’t stand by him and libs obviously don’t like him, his only support base are the congress people that vote him in.

can anyone inform me on how one gets to the speaker.....does the house vote? do they say “well its this guys turn? “WHAT? I am serious. I would like to know what to do to get this guy removed. I sent my congressman a message on Facebook about removing the worthless sack, he said “ no one will stand up to him” I just about shot back, including you.
i wonder why voter fraud couldnt have gotten boehner out of his seat?
I won’t follow charisma, I will follow competence and experience. Boehner has both. He has played the best and really only game he could play with the cards in his hand. Unfortunately, his cards just got worse and we’ll leave it at that.

Yeah you and most of other FReepers wouldn’t, but 75% of the people whos votes we need probably do.
I don’t have any faith left in the majority of people in this country to vote with their minds instead of their emotions. When Obama does all those soft interviews with celeb rags, and issues and results don’t matter it’s time for conservatives to change their paradigm.
Intelligent, thinking people are becoming a minority, so ranting and raving and screaming about the constitution is self serving to a group of individuals. Simply put we need voters to vote with us - which means we need a messenger, message and strategy that will resonate with those who are not issue voters.
Also we need states to fix Voter ID... the corruption is getting overwhelming.
