Well he’s technically correct. Rockefeller was a liberal. And there’s no difference between and liberal republican and a liberal democrat.
In the viewpoint of a black militant, calling the President "Rockefeller" is a particularly cutting epithet.
To a conservative, Rockefeller is a liberal RINO - to West, Rockefeller is as far to the right as Reagan.
this is probably part of a coordinated effort to allow Obama to triangulate from the Left rather than center. Move the bar on the Left further left, moving the “center” to the left as well.

I suggest that Freepers dust off that stack of old John Birch Society literature in order to find out exactly what a “Rockefeller Republican” is. And while you are at it, Google these terms- “oligarchy”, “aristocracy”, “fascism”, “republicanism”, “synarchy”, “Nazi 5th column in the US during the 1930’s”. One day we may actually figure out who really is America’s chief enemy and his name ain’t Karl Marx.
