With more than 28,600 signatures collected since Nov. 9, a White House website petition from an Arlington, Texas man has attracted enough support to trigger an automatic review by the Obama administration.
Petitions submitted through the Obama White Houses We the People program require a response from the administration after they have attracted 25,000 signatures.
The Daily Caller reported Monday morning that since the day after President Barack Obamas re-election, citizens from 20 states had submitted petitions asking for peaceful separations from the United States. (RELATED: White House website deluged with secession petitions from 20 states)

Nice job! Did you do that one yourself? It certainly is how he sees his skinny self.
I have no doubt that Texans could, if unhindered by outside forces, drastically deplete the negative impacts within their borders.
You are too dumb to know what I was saying.
But anyone who would call the black thug a king for any reason is not anyone I see eye-to-eye with anyway.
Keep calling him king and your own propaganda will be real to you and obviously it has.
To me a thug is a thug and NOTHING but a thug!
Secession?? Sure, but only if you pay the "Secession Tax".
“You have a right to your opinion. I never meant otherwise. But the state of Texas is not going to secede. Ever. We have heard this before. Every few years.”
In an earlier posting, you said you had been around politics since 1972. That’s about the same time I started noticing things, as well.
Let me ask you a question:
In 1972, if I had told you that in twenty years the mighty Soviet Union would crumble and cease to exist as a nation, and if had told you that it would split into a “Commonwealth of Independent States”, what would you have told me in return?
C’mon, be honest with your reply...
The “mighty Soviet Union” got that way by conquering a group of extant countries. It didn’t start as a large, amorphous territory that then organized a la the USA. Its dissolution amounted to allowing those countries to become extant once more.
Molon labe.
I was just poking at you for insulting others that had a clearer vision of present reality.
I’m from there I bet I heard of it...
Heck I’ve prolly been there...
Looks like you’ll be in business for another four years, Nachum. Did you ever build that server you wanted?
That’s a myth. Texas reserved the right to divide itself into five separate states. It did not reserve the right to leave the Union. IMHO, dividing into five states would weaken our influence. Furthermore, can you imagine any part of Texas opting to leave the Great State of Texas?
However, our rights come from God not the federal government. So, should Texas claim the right to leave the Union, the precedent was set with the Declaration of Independence.
Just playing devil’s advocate ... what makes you think we’d give up our military bases and assets? If (unlikely) we were to secede, any federal assets within the physical borders of the Great State of Texas become, by default, the sole property of Texas.
North Texas, South Texas, West Texas, East Texas; who’s leaving Texas?
Ha.
Just attacked by malware again. I am reformatting as I type. Some nasty ransom malware out of eastern Europe. I am so disgusted with pc's right now. I am seriously thinking of getting a Mac. Nothing huge, just a Mac desktop and see if that keeps the bugs off me.
Let those states that wish to leave secede from the United States

Exactly. Or Yugoslavia, or Czechoslovakia (at least that was a peaceful breakup and a good blueprint) or the Sudan (well maybe we might have seen that one coming).
“The mighty Soviet Union got that way by conquering a group of extant countries.”
And the USA didn’t?! Tell that to the American Indians, or Mexico, or the Hawaiian royal family. And what we didn’t conquer we bought (Louisiana Purchase, Alaska, Florida). So there’s more similarity to the USSR than is apparent at first glance.
Switch over to Linux. Ubuntu 12.10 or Fedora 17. Either look, and handle, fantastic!
