Former CIA director David H. Petraeus told the woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair to stop sending threatening e-mails to a family friend, Jill Kelley, after a federal investigation determined who was behind the harassment.
The move by Petraeus came in mid-summer after Kelley contacted a friend who worked as an FBI agent in Tampa, where she lived, beginning a process that would eventually force the former four-star former general to resign last week.
The new information, provided by two law enforcement officials, helps fill in a summer timeline when Petraeus’s e-mail account became the subject of a federal investigation into whether national security had been compromised during his affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.

At some point, Kelley told Petraeus about the e-mails and named Broadwell as the person who had sent them. That may have prompted the CIA director to send his own e-mails to Broadwell, telling her to stop the harassment, the law enforcement officials said.
People close to Petraeus say his affair with Broadwell ended four months ago, around the time he e-mailed her about the harassment.

This is all about Benghazi. None of the time lines add up. Paula’s speech on October 26, wherein she talks about prisoners in the annex, suggest she’s been in contact with GenP long after their romance was allegedly concluded.
Thus far, everyone everyone is lying! It’s a huge cover-up for the Marxist over Benghazi.
I’m waiting to hear from FBI Director Mueller. If he lies then.... Our entire gov’t is corrupt.
Mrs. P is a moonbat. She works for Obama and is a disciple of Granny Warren. As of last Tuesday I have no problem with anyone pointing out she is a dead ringer for Mikey Teutle of American Choppers.

Ridiculous is right and HUGE if the drive-bys ever reported the truth...and so this “sex scandal” continues to take the attention away from Benghazi and voter fraud.

Hillary is discrediting Petraeus so that she doesn't lose her brain-dead witchette followers when he testifies that she was up to her eyeballs in the Benghai murder of Ambassador Stevens and his entourage.
Been praying since the year of 2000 for such to happen somewhere in this land. Maybe asked God for the wrong thing. Always thought the final Constitution Crisis would come when it all came down to where our Military stood, will stand, or would or would not man and woman up for the truth or a lie.

That’s because all of them knew about the affair from the gitgo, don’t you see. That was their hold over Petraeus so that he would play ball on everything their way. They were blackmailing him. Aren’t you seeing the pattern here?
Now General Allen it is found was also being investigated by the FBI for his connections to the “other woman”, Ms. Kelley, for either an affair or over possibly disclosing classified info to her, and he too was in line by Obama for a higher position. So, Obama planned on elevating another general whose background was compromised by an inappropriate relationship with a woman, just like Petraeus. And once again, Obama and his henchmen would have had total control over General Allen because they knew his little secret.
I have no respect for General Petreaus. Obviously he knew about his own afair, right? And he never should have accepted the job of CIA Director.
In my opinion the only way Petreaus can show he has ANY honor left at ALL is to go willingly to testify before Congress and to do so honestly.
