It now seems clear what occurred to bring down CIA Director David Petraeus: some months ago his paramour Paula Broadwell sent threatening emails to another woman warning her to keep away from Petraeus, seemingly unaware that computers and emails have signatures that can be identified by investigators. The woman, identified by the Associated Press as Jill Kelley, became alarmed over being threatened and notified the FBI, which got into the emails to discover that there was an affair in progress, leading to an investigation of Petraeus to determine if any classifed information had been leaked. Broadwell was subsequently interviewed by FBI agents, as was Petraeus two weeks ago. The Justice Department informed Director of National Intelligence James Clapper about the affair on election night, which led to a phone call to Petraeus. Clapper recommended that he resign and informed the White House. Petraeus met with the president on Thursday and submitted his resignation, which was accepted on Friday.

Fox news had pictures and the name of the “other”, “other” woman that started the investigation. Surprised nothing on FR about that this AM. Also mentioned that Paula denies sending emails. Leaks from everywhere, conflicting info.

Have her consent to do whatever he needs to do to extract himself. They are ALL friends. Everyone involved in this knows everyone else.
These emails are done from a gmail account for G-d’s sake. So one family ‘friend’ complains to the FBI about ‘harrassing’ emails. Whoa. Then he outs his so-called mistress who is ALSO a family friend. Whoa. And then it turns out that thousands? of emails are sent from this account? Thousands? Really?
But it doesn’t end there. No. Suddenly we are told that well, maybe these so-called harrassing emails weren’t sent by that nasty mistress homewrecker after all. OOOOOO. Poor petraeus looks like he is being set up. He needs ‘time’ to fix his broken life. Awww. Pity the fool.
G-d love a duck, y’all. This is a script.
Hillary is nowhere to be found. State blames all this on CIA. She comes out clean. An offer has been made to a couple of key Obama supporters to make him look like an idiot. They get through the next few months. Biden has health issues or “else”. Hillary becomes Vice President. THEN the SHTF and Obama is impeached. Hillary becomes President before the next elections.

For official business? No - for carrying out an affair with Broadwell from the looks of things.
Obviously a lack of judgement but the goal here was to use the Gmail account for business that was very much *unofficial* as I read it.

Oh, please. I was a lowly secretary and have always known that emails can always be traced. I believe that this broad went to West Point and is/was an “anti-terrorism professional” And she didn’t know? Who’s buying that?
Interestingly enough we can throw flames at the General for having a relationship with a woman when he is thousands of miles from home for extended periods of time yet we give a pass to some of Republican, Conservative Leaders who have had affairs while married and living the good life in DC.
