New Yorkers Still in the Dark as Obama Hits the Links

A good chunk of Long Island is still in the dark after 12 days now and nobody seems to care. It’s not like the president needs to show up for a photo op since these poor bastards overwhelmingly vote for him anyway.

He’ll come visit eventually, so hold tight to your candles.

It’s also not clear if power will return to the schools in time, so the town has purchased generators for the schools to run on. National Grid, which manages the power grid owned by LIPA, said 95 percent of residents that live in non-flood zones, should have power restored by Tuesday, but there is no timeline for those in flood zones, MyFoxNY.com reports..

If Bush did this during Katrina the drive by media would have had a field day. I have a golf club resting in my empty chair in my front yard. I think I need to add a sign to let folks know where he's golfing on any given day.

The media would be running a time clock counter on the tv screen all day. They’d be screaming about a huge part of nyc being without power. And the economic loss, the violence they’d actually report instead of ignoring, and he’d be running personal stories up and down the newscast with everyone commenting how the pres doesn’t care, blah blah blah.....

What if they gave a superstorm media opportunity and no politicians came?

I sense a national movement afoot. We should all place a sign in view of the public indicating the course he is playing on any given day and how many days he has spent on the links since his re-election.

Obama won’t be running for reelection again. You can be sure of this:

He’ll play as much golf as he can.

Michelle and the girls will take as many vacations as they can on Air Force whatevertheycallherplane. Don’t expect her to wait around and fly with Barry. She doesn’t need to. She’s the First Lady after all.

Taxes on the “rich” will increase.

Barry’s definition of “rich” will not be yours or mine.

Our natural resources will NOT be tapped to reduce energy independence.

Gas will hit $5 a gallon.

There will be more money wasted on “green energy” on companies that will be bankrupt before Barry leaves office.

That would be a nice contrasting photo.

Considering he’s now done well-over 100 rounds of golf so far, it’s be easier to to note the days he’s NOT on the links. Just saying.

obama had his photo-op with the well rehearsed “I care so much” look on his face. Now the election is over, so he and Pravda can now ignore the victims.

Gas will hit $5 a gallon.

That seems to be a low number to me.

As long as lady parts are taken care of, who needs power? /sarc

The air-head voting block does not care about energy issues, people suffering from a poor economy and unemployment, high food prices e.t.c... and these morons claim that conservatives are not smart or caring.

2 plus weeks without power after a hurricane is not anything unusual . I have been with out power after storms for that long without much damage to the area . They always bring up the areas that have the least damage and the highest populations first and then work their way on down from that .

I remember during hurricane Andrew when my house lost power for two weeks and a friends house in a rural area was without power for 6 months (in his area there was more damage to the poles that carried the lines ) .

Still what is going on in New York is made much worse because they have turned down and sent back crews that came to help get the power restored faster because they were non union . Basically the union leaders in New York want their big chunk of FEMA and they do not care how long you have to wait . The mess in New York is caused by non other than the democrats that were elected to run the place .Without outside help there is no way for regular crews to get all power turned back on in a timely manner .

It is so hard to feel sorry for them. This is what we are reduced to since the election. Us vs Them.
