Oh just stop - I’m not impressed with your “I’m all grown up and you’re just a child” talk - some of us are grown up enough not to sink into depression whenever that idiot President speaks.

I predict Boehner will follow Christie Cremes little lovefest with O-THUg shortly. Oui, my FRiend.
We must never forget that it was Mister* Boehner who traded away 500 billion in precious defense dollars for ... essentially some magic beans (to arrive at a later date, number may vary, may be substituted for beans with little or no magic associated, and may or may not involve actual beans.)
Mister Boehner has absolutely no gift for bargaining, and no sense of the consequences of serious errors. Any casino would just LOVE to see Mister Boehner walk through their door.
*I say "mister" as opposed to "Speaker of the House", because SOH is so far above his abilities.

I just noticed it and am hearing DiFi has plans to introduce a new AWB Seems she introduces one every legislative season. It won't go anywhere. Outside of California and New York there's little appetite for gun control from Democrat lawmakers, many of whom remember quite well the painful lessons of 1994.

He will push for it and get it but it may not happen until his third or forth term.

Mine were lost on a fishing trip down off the Jersey coast. I shouldn’t have been cleaning them while the water was that rough. Slid off the deck into the briny deep.

Actually, isn’t every “weapon” an “assault weapon,” including your fists? I think what they mean is anything that could be used to implement the sole purpose of the Second Amendment; anything that will allow citizens to stop the totalitarian state/genocide they have in mind.

"The difference is that this time by they have the UN Small Arms Treaty - they only need 34 votes in the Senate and the President."
They need 2/3 of the Senate (more like 67?) in favor to ratify a treaty, and they won't get it during this Senate term. Enough Senators have already written opposition to it.
But yes, the Treaty could cause problems down the road anyway. It could, for example, stop, slow or make AK-47/AK-74 variant semi-auto version imports much more expensive, even from outside of the USA. Many other problems could be caused by activities related to the Treaty outside of our country. Quite a few foreign tyrants out there. Mexico, for one, is calling for enforcing such treaties against nations that vote against the treaties.

I was only teasing. We need to call and write representatives to oppose any AWB bill that’s sponsored and also contact Senate members on the Treaty to remind them of their recent statements against it (just over half of ‘em, IIRC).

Absolutely. It’s not like the info or this article wasn’t there. GOP lobbyist/consultants/pundits racked up a big ol’ fail on this issue. Yet, it is a cornerstone of conservative ideology.

Asault weapon bans are vague. Before they can be banned, shouldnt an asault weapon be defined. It used to be an assault weapon was defined as a machine gun....and those were baned. But, in the Clinton era an assault weapon was defined as any rifle with a handle on it...which are not banned as of today as long as they arent automatic (machine guns). I have no idea what as assault rifle ban is according to Obama. Its an important detail.Feinstein and her minions came up with the original legislative language, and due to their misunderstanding of firearms, it was rather easy for manufacturers to get around them. You had better believe that the evil witch and her minions learned from their "mistakes." A new ban will be sure to remove all the loopholes, and without having to worry about Obama's popularity and the fact that the dems set new standards in corrupting the elections where non-dem votes no longer matter, you can bet the wording will be really draconian!

white feather of cowardice.Don't you mean "white flag?" "White Feather" was an incredibly brave, heroic Marine sniper named Carlos Hathcock. "White Feather" was how he was known to the NVA and Viet Cong who had a HUGE bounty on his head.
