Its true love between the Democratic president and the Republican governor of New Jersey.
More than a week after President Obama and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie toured sections of the Jersey Shore ravaged by Superstorm Sandy, the White House remains stunned at how helpful Christie and his team have been and how easy it is to work with them...
The Christie people are so much easier to deal with than the Cuomo people, a senior administration official said, referring to Gov. Cuomo. New York wants to do everything alone, but were working with Christie really well. Its weird.
Obama has ordered every Cabinet member except Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to go up there [to New Jersey] at least once for Christie, the source said.

Of course. Malleability and capitulation a RINO/GOPE thing.
Maybe the NJ crew and the Chicago crew see more eye to eye with regards to the desired level of corruption.
Cuomo knows Obama 2.0 is going to be an epic disaster and is running as far away as possible for his expected 2016 run.
Yeah, it is so hard to figure why evil Republicans would put politics aside in order to make sure that people get help, while Democrats (members of the party of true compassion) are just trying to control things for their own ends and make a name for themselves on the backs of people's misery. Who could have ever seen that one coming?
That too, is a likely factor.
That’s how I see it as well. That and the fact that Christie is weak and easily led.
Cuomo is an epic disaster. Nto that it matters in the Democratic Party.
New York is descending into a bureaucratic nightmare following Hurricane Sandy. In NYC and out on Long Island there is now a lot of infighting over the disaster recovery -- particularly as it relates to the restoration of power to places that are still in the dark almost two weeks after the storm hit. What's driving it is the behind-the-scenes clashes involving the governor of New York, the mayor of New York City, and two county executives (Nassau and Suffolk Counties) who all have their own political turf to protect.
It all reached the point of idiocy in recent days when Governor Cuomo began taking the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) to task for their poor response in an act of pure political posturing. He's acting as if they are some kind of "right-wing Republican corporation." It turns out that the governor appoints 10 of the 15 LIPA board members, and therefore the company effectively functions as a government agency.
For all its flaws, New Jersey's recovery efforts have been overseen by one governing jurisdiction. It hasn't been perfect, but here in New Jersey the gas lines almost disappeared before New York even began to ration their gasoline.
Fat-Boy is finished; he should change parties now...it’d be for the best...no way is he EVER going to be on a GOP ticket, not in four years, not ever.
Meanwhile, there’s a gigantic FEMA tent city about half a mile from my house that has no electricity, food, medicine, doctors or nurses to help the middle-class people who are stuck there because Hurricane Sandy destroyed their homes. When they tried to leave, they were stopped by cops. When they tried to contact the press, they had their phones taken away from them.
The cops in my area have not behaved nicely during this crisis.
Is that New Jersey or New York?
Cuomo is better than Christie. I live here and if had a choice will go w cuomo.
Monmouth County. Go to the Asbury Park Press online - it’s the lead article. Disaster!
You’re right, though, that the gasoline lines have disappeared.
That’s so funny! And my beloved Bud and Lou were both born in Jersey.
Here's the best evidence I have that New York has been going through a complete Keystone Kops operation since Hurricane Sandy:
Mike Francesa, the popular sports talk radio host who does a daily radio show from 1:00-6:30 PM in the New York market, has basically pre-empted his regular sports programming to dedicate the airtime to callers who want to chime in and discuss pressing post-hurricane issues. He's had open invitations to anyone from the city and state governments and the power companies, and some of these folks have had the courage to call him.
For this to be going on almost two weeks after the storm hit is pretty remarkable. The picture I'm getting is one of complete bedlam over there.
These highly unionized utilities all suck. It’s mostly on them.
Seriously, this is one of the greatest lines in movie history. When I am 90 I will still laugh.
I believe this actor died fairly recently.
This is easy to see through. The WH is working to finish off Christie.
He’s dead, Jim.
