Staten Island resident William Boden interviewed by phone. Staten Island has been abandoned. No electricity, no gas, no heat. People without shelter, clothing, food, water. Staten Island is gone and will never come back. Obama and Bloomberg lied to us. Red Cross absent. Promised FEMA aid absent. No aid of any kind. People lost all personal possessions in flooded, wrecked houses.
Has Biden been there yet, and told them how big their balls are?
Though I will not donate money to the state of NY or any charitable organization that will put money in the state treasury, I would donate to any private or church organization that will relocate conservative families to red states.
In other news: The sun rises in the east.
Elections have consequences.
...where is Sean Penn....Good question
He lives in a flood plain where he shouldn’t have been from the beginning. He, like wardnine NOLA residents, was suckered by a rel estate agent into buying a flood prone property.
He at base, a fool parted from his money
I have given up Thanksgiving morning for the past 15 years to coordinate home deliveries of meals to seniors in public housing and transitional motels. I even got my Knights of Columbus Council involved. I don’t want to do it anymore because I know the people that get the meals would spit in my face.
...and a puppy! ;-)
I was there as well, before the wall came down. Going through Checkpoint Charlie was like stepping onto a different planet. Grim, dreary, miserable place. Why do people never learn from history?
‘I dont want to do it anymore...”
DON’T do it. F*ck ‘em all. Enjoy YOUR Thanksgiving.
“Elections Have Consequences” - tell the K of C and/or whoever exactly that.
I have a friend who lived near Franklin, Tennessee until recently, and she said there are still areas that were hit by the tornado in 2011 that are still a mess.
Explains it all
“Obama and Bloomberg lied to us...”
No shit Sherlock.
And you bought it.
The rebuilding of New Orleans moves at a glacial rate for the same reasons the rebuilding of the east coast cities will move at a glacial rate: politics, fraud, victim mentality, and how can a nation six-plus trillion in debt rebuild major cities? And just wait until someone wants to rebuild and starts dealing with the EPA.
NY power line unions are not allowing crews from other states to work unless they join the local unions. Meanwhile, the people are protesting and headed towards civil unrest over how "long" it is taking to get power restored.
Now they can turn Stanton Island into a giant wind/solar farm to get some power to the rest of the State.
Hope they can hold on for the next 20 years or so....
Not true. Staten Island is a Republican area. They re-elected Congressman Grimm, a Republican, by a wide margin.
What this is is political and ethnic cleansing at it's finest. It is the new norm for Amerika if you are either white or Republican-leaning.
Folks: Staten Island is GOP
Staten Island is Richmond County.
In 2008, Richmond County went for McCain over Obama (86K v 79K votes). In deep blue New York.
Duh.
..and Staten Island. The majority voted for the unconstitutionally elected admitted foreign national over Romney. I live in NYC and that’s the thing about the morons here: They vote ‘rat then whine like banshees when they get screwed, then they vote ‘rat. And it repeats. Over and over and over and over. Sort of like someone sitting on a red hot stove then complaining why their ass got burned, then sitting on the stove again.
