Would we have had a mid-western son of a milk truck driver (Pawlenty) as our nominee has she not surged up until Ames Straw poll?
I am trying to trace down to the seed that germinated into re-electing Obama. That is the closest I have come. During this cycle, a more modestly wealthy mid-western governor of a Blue state may just have been the ticket.
Thoughts?
How long did they let you out for?
Ok.. It’s all the same outcome. We’ll get what we deserve.
Wake up and join reality. She barely won her congressional seat back. Your error is believing that everyone shares your own personal values, they don’t. Take a trip to Walmart, take a look around for a few minutes, and you will see what I’m talking about. Do you really believe that Obamaphone lady would have prefered Bachmann. Hell no. That Julio down by the school yard was disappointed the GOP nominated Romney instead of his dream to get his 856 relatives from Guatemala across the border and onto the dole. How about Lance the 27 year old unemployed recent college graduate wacking off to internet porn in his parents basement. Was he looking for the pure socon candidate, in your dreams. These people are the majority. Our nightmare has become one we cannot wake up from, because it is our reality now. This disaster was set in motion decades ago. We conservatives even helped set up some of it. I will list some of them. 1965 Immigration Act. Reagan helped this disaster by knocking people of the tax rolls, made it worse with Earned Income Tax Credits (Welfare on Apr. 15). Reagan’s Illegal Immigrant Amnesty. Gingrich’s motor voter roll over, plus other stupid tricks like early voting and such. In truth Romney ran a pretty good campaign, a landslide winner if the voters shared our values. Unfortunatley the voters do not. That cannot be rectified by just changing our lineup, it is a far deeper and darker problem that will not be solved at the ballot box. Unless you have any ideas how we make the new majority rainbow coalition change its core values, I sure as hell have no clue, we are seeing a Dark Age for the USA.
I could go with that.
After 13 plus years, almost good enough for a tag line change....almost.
