"As a party, we have to look forward to what our challenges are in the future," Christie said. "This election is over. So we have to look forward to the next challenges."

As the party figures out how to attract Hispanics, women and young people, Republicans may look toward Christie as a frontrunner for the 2016 nomination. He leads a blue and diverse state, walks the walk on bipartisanship and could steer the party away from the far right.

Right. Christie is toast, already buttered with lard. If he thinks he has a political future, he should officially become a Dim.

He'd have a better chance running for the Democrat nomination in 2016.

I'd sooner vote for Lou Christie.

Christie gets the “Justice Roberts Traitor Award” with gold leaf cluster.

He’s probably too stupid to realize his political career is over. Certainly as a “Republican”.

Sorry to see that people have STILL not learned from the past 25 years.

If the RNC chooses Christie, (and they choose the Candidate, not the voters) 99.9% of you will end up voting for him with yard signs just like that Creep Romney. Never fails.

The resources to figure out that you are the “Black Vote” for the RNC is not available to most people here. Spend the next four years with big talk, and you will line up and support what ever garbage the RNC dishes up. Never fails, Never will Fail...

That is not my fault, it is yours.

“Christie can go straight to hell!!”

The best thing conservatives could do for Christie would be to send him a tractor trailer filled with Twinkies!

I agree. He will be lucky to survive the 2013 elections, much less worry about 2016.

exactly. Bobby Jindal did that and rightly so. Its one thing to praise the president if praise is due, but to kiss the guys butt at the beginning when he’s done nothing.

I’m told there are still 600K people without electricity. Everyone screamed at Bush remember. The governor and mayor in LA criticized him when he was actually doing something.

Which brings me up to another thing...Are we sure keeping Bush out of the race was the right move?

Bottom line...we didn’t get out the vote and, are you listening to this Ann Coulter?...Romney was tougher in the primaries than he was in the election. He went soft on Obama...

Christie put the nail in the coffin... no doubt...

No worries, Christie is living in his NE corridor bubble. He’s done with the conservative base. Actually, I think it was doubtful he could have been nominated had his slobber act had not occurred. Conservatives haven’t trusted him from the get go.
