News Center 7 received calls Wednesday night from residents in Beavercreek who were not happy about their neighbor flying the U.S. flag upside-down.
One caller said it might not be illegal, but its offensive to the people in the neighborhood.
Despite what his neighbors think, Ray Lewis said flying the flag upside-down is an international symbol of distress and he felt compelled to do it as a form of peaceful protest following the re-election of President Barack Obama.

As for myself, I’ll fly the flag of The United States of America high and proud! Do not forget the lives that have been given for our country and to fly our flag high and proud! It is a symbol of what we stand for and what it means to be an American! It symbolizes everything that “we” stand for! To be certain, I am very concerned at the outcome of the national election outcome. But I will stand firm for those values that made us what we are as a country, good or bad, whether I agree with the outcome of an election or disagree.
“WE” (conservatives) did not elect, nor did we re-elect the current occupant of The President of the United States of America. “WE” do not give up, no matter how desperate the situation may seem or how much we do not like the current political climate or way the country seems to be going. “WE” have to be the ones to hold out and stand firm for what “WE” believe in, and what this country was founded upon.
If you want to protest with your flags, fly them high! But do so with the knowledge that you are flying them for the same reason those patriots did over 200 years ago, and for the same reason our soldiers, sailors and airmen have in every war and conflict we have been involved in as a nation. Protest if you will by flying a Gadsden Flag along with Old Glory!
I would love to see the Gadsden flying along with our National Colors. I would then be able to see and know who our true Patriots are that are not fearful of the tyranny that we must oppose. Don’t be ashamed to be an American. Don’t be ashamed of our National Flag as Obama is. This is the precise time to stand firm and fly that flag in support of our ideals established in 1776! Join me! Fly your American flag along with that Gadsden Flag! Let them know they may have won for today, but we will not be silent and we will continue to support the greater ideals of the Republic!

Damn formosa!! You could have been reading my mind when you wrote out your feelings on that.
Yesterday I wrestled through day, long tear how much I now gated America. Not the land...not what she was meant to stand for, but what she has become.
I agree with the veteran who posted here. I will fly a flag again IF the day ever comes it’s appropriate, but I do not believe that will ever be the case again.
My ancestors fought in the Revolution to build a great nation. I mourn DEEPLY that I was born in the generation to watch her fall....
November 6, 2012,the Republic that had formerly been the United States was slain from muliple self inflicted voter wounds.
I’d put up a sign right under it that said
“Offended? Boo-frickin-hoo”
Thank you. That is a wonderful idea. Appreciate you bringing it up.

If only your idea would go VIRAL.
Over this:
Well said! When Obama was first elected I flew both a Gadsden and a Sons Of Liberty along with Old Glory. We have since moved and it is impossible to do that however small versions are often displayed.
I do too.I saw the story on channel 7 last night and the citizen they interviewed was a Centerville coffee shop liberal who along with the unseen neighbors thought it was “offensive”.Of course they didn’t have any any actual neighbors come on camera and say so.The template of the story was any opposition to obama is “hate speech”. We’ll soon see the media will agitate for speech codes to prevent those racist republicans from poisoning the minds of the children.
I’ve had a flag in my office window and on my desk ever since 9-11-2001. I’ve taken both down. I believe in the American ideal. I do not believe in the America that showed itself on Tuesday.
as of yesterday my 24’ flag pole is naked. My faith is in God alone.
There’s a story which I no longer have a kink to about a guy flying the flag upside down. Police came out and took the flag on the 4th of July and brought it back the next day so as to not “cause a public disturbance” at the 4th of July parade.
It signifies that I will not give up.

I was going to post this exact same sentament but you beat me to it. My nation has been dead for 4 years. And now?
I bought and flew a Gadsden flag after Emperor Zero won the first time, but it faded in less than a year. It gets a little expensive to replace them that often.
It would be nice to know of a source for a quality, long-lasting Gadsden flag. After this election, I would surely buy another one.
Where is that “freedom of expression” that the ungodly harp on when they want to desecrate Christian symbols and make fun of Jesus in movies and TV? “Freedom for me, but not for thee” is their motto.
