some people care about themselves and couldn;t careless about the country or the kids future, .

We have a poster here harping on about how he wants dope and not caring about marriage .
There are a lot of people like this poster who care nothing about the country and think the world is all about them.

They got trophies when younger, they always got told how good they were, they grew up thinking the world was them and that they are good at everything.

People who do witnessing and evangelizing will tell you that, unlike in Billy Graham's heyday and the era of the First and Second Great Awakenings, there is not a Biblically based understanding of morality among the people at large. Criminals from the American past, like the gangsters of the 1930s or the outlaws of the Old West, did not challenge the Biblical moral code, but defied it. Jesse James, Butch Cassidy, Al Capone, and John Dillinger were immoral men. They knew they were doing wrong, but were given to what the apostle Paul called a reprobate mind. The average Obama voter is amoral, rejecting any morality but "what's in it for me"? The average Obama voter is more dangerous to the future of the country than the train robbers and bootleggers of yesteryear. It is no surprise, then, that homosexual "marriage" was approved. Liberal states like California rejected it but a few years ago; now liberal states, even ones like Maine with substantial Catholic populations, approve these measures.

As for legalizing marijuana, the defeats in this area may reflect a weariness with a 40-plus year, unsuccessful "war on drugs". Why, for example, were Romney's call for a stronger defense and criticism of the Benghazi disaster ineffective in winning votes? Many voters have tired of an endless and inconclusive "war on terrorism". Failing government policies lose support.

I expect this is the case. Innocents are losing their lives, having their homes invaded, and watching their dogs become shot over this War on Drugs. The government solution has proven worse than the “problem” it vowed to “correct”.

The “War on Drugs” and the “War on Terrorism” are really two parts of the “War on the Constitution”.

exactly
finally someone gets it.

The left have always wanted their turd poking agenda for decades but knew people were against it so they knew they had to get the younger generation to accept it but then they also know that kids woudl make fun of a girlie boy.

The left came up with hate laws and the idiots on our side said no problem.
Now they have hate laws and then anti bully laws in the school they can now have girlie boys spouting their fundge packing agenda.

It is about time some on our side stopped being so frigging ignorant and stoppped thinking it is all about them and understand there is a bigger agenda here.

What we have after these elections is ignorant dumb voters

yea take some dope, get in a car a day later with the dope still inside you and then cause a crash or go to work with dope two days later and cause an accident etc.

yea none of your buisiness until it frigging hurts you is it.

How about caring about others, how about thinking the world is not you and not everyone gets a trophy or a medal and when the parents tell you good kick in your soccer game then they really are blowing smoke up your arse and not really meaning you did well

Colorado already went the medical marijuana route several years ago, and the Feds still bust people from time to time and have made it clear that medical marijuana is still illegal marijuana. This vote isn’t going to change how the Feds operate in CO, just that police won’t be arresting people here.

What is funny is that it was sold as a tax it and remove money from the cartels initiative. But, if anyone gets the initiative to grow enough pot to support users similar to alcohol, the Feds will move right in and put them out of business. So, how is that tax collection and hurting the cartels working out for you now?

The SCOTUS ruling on "Right to Bear Arms" was won by ONE vote in SCOTUS. 1st and 2nd Amendments will go down. RATS have already introduced Constitutional Amendment to restrict SCOTUS' ruling on campaign free speech.

Thank you for those quotes. I have been obsessed with this Presidential race not paying enough attention to my spiritual life. I am turning off the TV and opening the good book instead. God has a plan and Romney, the devout Mormon was not in it.

If you have a chance to study that "religion" you will find it does not line up with the one true God's words.

And since marijuana is such a nice drug, you’ll be okay with your child’s school bus driver smoking a joint before getting behind the wheel, right? I mean, it’s none of your business. Oh, and if your child’s surgeon smokes a doobie before driving to the hospital to perform live saving surgery on that child

I would feel the same way if the bus driver, surgeon, or anyone else took a drink of alcohol, or a impairing prescription medication/over the counter medication. Legalizing pot doesn't change the underlying societal expectation to do the right thing.

YOU are the reason why conservatism has failed in this country. Becaue you don’t “give a damn about pot and gay issues”, you and millions of social liberals like you have no way in Hell of making a difference on other conservative issues like the economy and unemployment.

Welfare? Our failed foreign policies? Abortion? Socialism? Our excuse of an educatiosal system?

All your fault.

Because you have FAILED to keep the basic tenets of traditional American moral conservatism, you have let loose the greatest Obamanation our Nation has ever seen.

Hope your happy.

Spoken like a true liberaltarian.

Well, liberaltarians, who are joined with the left on the social issues, helped to put the communist back in the White House.

An odd comment, given that I voted a straight Republican ticket (as I always do).

Moral decline and societal decadence is everyone’s business.

Can drinking alcohol lead to moral decline and societal decadence? If the answer is "yes", do you wish to brink back Prohibition? I anxiously await your answer to each of these questions.

It does not appear that continued opposition to illegal drug use or a more aggressive foreign policy are winning issues.

In the former case, the war on drugs has proven as ineffectual as alcohol prohibition was in the early 20th Century or anti-gambling laws are. Not only does the war on drugs lead to expansion of police and prosecutorial power, but it has little effect on drug consumption simply because the profits of the illegal drug trade are too high. Look at the meth problem; in spite of making it difficult to obtain certain cold medicines, it continues to thrive. If meth labs cannot obtain ingredients from CVS or Walgreens, they find other means. A regulated environment for narcotics, as exists for alcohol, tobacco, and gambling, may be the most practical solution.

As for the endless "war on terrorism", we have been no more successful in Afghanistan than were the Soviets and British before us. The "Arab spring" resulted in replacing bad, but not anti-American or anti-Israeli, dictators with worse tyrants who want to purge the Middle East of "Zionists and Crusaders". America has legitimate interests in protecting the sea lanes and preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Monies spent on Wilsonian pipe dreams of democracy in cultures ill-suited for them, could be better used upgrading our armed forces to focus on the primary need to protect the nation from both small scale threats, like Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea, and larger and more dangerous ones, like China and Russia.

Oh, and if your child’s surgeon smokes a doobie before driving to the hospital to perform live saving surgery on that child, well, geez, it’s none of your business, right?

I no more support such acts than I do someone doing any other drug and then engaging in irresponsible behavior. Speaking of which...

And since alcohol is such a nice drug, you’ll be okay with your child’s school bus driver drinking a shot before getting behind the wheel, right? I mean, it’s none of your business. Oh, and if your child’s surgeon downs a bottle of wine before driving to the hospital to perform live saving surgery on that child, well, geez, it’s none of your business, right?

Do you wish to bring Prohibition, given that? If not, why not? I anxiously await your answers.

It’s all a slippery slope that will lead the USA to ruin. The sad part is that a little over 50% of Americans are all for it. May they ROT IN HELL!

Are you seriously asserting that someone who smokes a joint on Monday will be impaired on Wednesday to the point that it can be the deciding factor in an accident? That's laughable.

Alcohol abuse damages the lives of millions, and kills thousands, every year. Given that, should we bring back Prohibition?

I anxiously await your answers to these questions.

Isn't it interesting how many who describe themselves as conservatives are so enamored of the power of The State over individual lives when it involves a vice of which they don't approve?

Unfortunately, for each leftist that leaves California, multiple illegal aliens replace them...resulting in an ever more liberal state.
