The polls are open on the east coast!!
From this morning's election day prayer thread:
"Heavenly Father may you forgive this nation and its people for the many awful sins that we have commited against you. We do not deserve the wonderful ways we have been blessed and please forgive us for our indifference, neglect and complacency towards you. May you forgive us who are members of your Church who have neglected our calling and commitment to you to be effective witnesses and stewards of the many blessings you have generously bestowed upon us. Many of us have cried out to you for the past few years as never before and we humbly beseech you to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation. First we pray that you quicken your Church by your spirit and lead us to unity to stand against the onslaught of darkness upon us. May you smash every crooked deed as evil men and women try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to our people who do not know you and to the nations of the world.
May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. May you make every policy they make fail and may you turn the hearts of the multitudes against them. May you thwart every evil deed they try to divide this nation with. May you bring their own mischief upon them ten fold. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors and enemies of the Constitution by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice. However we also pray that through this that you open their eyes to the truth and in your mercy that you bring these people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to serve as a witness to many. May you also use this to bring revival across our nation and a restoration of a culture that glorifies You. We also pray for those just leaders in our government who are struggling against the lawless. We pray for your protection and that you embolden them to do what is right to triumph in the election and in the arena of ideas. May you also continue to open the hearts and minds of the American people to the the truth and draw them towards yourself to be renewed in repentance and spiritual rebirth.
And this we humbly ask in Jesus name. AMEN!"
Voted in NJ. No lines. Straight Republican of course. Voted No on the bond issue for public university grants and yes on requiring judges to contribute to their benefits.
I hope they bring body guards
Whatever - who else would have been even 50% as well funded as Romney to go the distance w O-Thug?
Exactly. I’m in one of the few sane areas left in Western Fairfax Co VA. Our box is heavily GOP but can do dumb things in bad years. Bush 2000 barely carried it, went big Bush in 04, McCain underperformed 08. Was insane this morning but line shorter than last two elections b/c they have the registration data on computer and got rid of he paper registration print outs.
FWIW, we have 4 e-machines in there and one paper reader. I was 189 on the paper machine alone at 7:45. The most votes ever cast in that box as a whole is around 800-900. Almost all will be Romney.
I wish I had your cup, MfM.
But my Chick Fil-A mug is good too, don’t ya think? :-)
Voted here in Upstate NY in the North Country. This is a strong Romney county; it went for McCain in 08. Steady as always. People vote here every year, national election or not. One of the few places in NY where people still feel it is their duty to vote. You know, typical clingers. ;)
I noticed that. Gone are the old dot-matrix printouts!
Similar to you, I thanked the poll workers for their dedication with the long day ahead. The ladies were very appreciative for the kind words!

I was also a “Mitten” back in the day! :)
Not a voting report, but here is the final social media analysis from the NBC elections website.
This section of their site basically tracks buzz and candidate support on Facebook and Twitter.
Romney ended yesterday with a 4-point lead in expressed support. Online comments were -16 toward Obama. Online comments regarding Romney were -4. I will note this is a big move back to Romney post-Sandy, when Obama retook the lead for awhile.
I will be interested to see if this reflects turnout and the vote today.
Cheers!
If we’re voting for a candidate because of the size of his wallet, that speaks volumes.
I just voted in west Omaha at the Jewish Community Center. There was about a 15 minute wait to vote and the lady working the ballot box said people were lined up when they opened. This is a predominantly white area of town and everybody voting was white.

Freeper made video featuring a FR clip:You Shouldn't vote...(for Obama) hits 1,100 views.
It is what it is. We are also at war w the MSM remember?
Other 2 precincts at the polling place had lines. MANY more Republican signs around than I can ever remember.
Few Obama signs. This is a change from 2008. Keeping fingers crossed.
Our family has supported with $$ and prayed MUCH for Todd Atkins. May God receive GLORY !!
Amen and Amen.
