Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report has analyzed the early voter data from Ohio and seems to have concluded that Obama has done horribly in Ohio early voting. We are no longer talking about polls. He has analyzed hard data that was reported today by the Ohio Secretary of State.
Here are some of his tweets. Nate Silver is NOT happy.
Dave Wasserman (@Redistrict) tweeted at 12:22am - 6 Nov 12:
@fivethirtyeight OH data seems high quality, and we're possibly on track for a significantly different turnout model vs. '08...(1/2)
Dave Wasserman (@Redistrict) tweeted at 12:27am - 6 Nov 12:
By my calc, in '08, 24.8% of registered voters in Obama's OH counties voted early, 19.1% in McCain. Today, 21.7% Obama and 21.3% McCain
Yet he just upped Obama's chances of winning to 91%, and is switching FL from Romney to Obama.
It's the cigs. I'm sure Obama is up to 2 packs/day.
I hadn’t heard of Nate Silver either until about a month ago when some so-called “conservative” radio talk-show host (I think it was Meth-head) had him on. That tells us as much about Meth-head as it does about Silver.
Sorry to butt in, but who is Meth-head?
Romney is using a football strategyyou play till the whistle stops blowing.
You can learn a lot about the two men just by comparing those two strategies."
Biden is in Ohio campaigning today...
Did they sneak McCain back on the ballot in Ohio?
I noticed that last night Moochelle had that “oh crap, I’m going to have to pay for my own food and vacations now” look.
He poses as a conservative, but you’d think he’s strung out on meth by the nonsense he spouts sometimes.
Ok, yeah. I tried to listen to him a few times, but couldn’t stomach it. Lately I’ve been listening to John Batchelor, and also Hugh Hewitt.
Right. I trust you understand that my point was not that all big business is ‘bad.’
Yep, I certainly did...
my computer skills are basic but maybe I should have used a /s after my statement...
One of Romney’s spokespersons was on with Shepard Smith, and he asked her about Romney’s last minute campaign stops today in Ohio and Pennsylvania. What she said kind of struck me: She said the Romney campaign does not want to have any regrets tomorrow about not having done everything it could to win.
Let’s hope Mitt pulls it out.
I would say a Biblical (and Conservative) strategy as well:
From 2 Timothy:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
************************************
Hope to hear in Romney’s acceptance speech tonight:
“You know, people were wondering why I was still out there campaigning today, rather than taking a break and going golfing or something. [laughter, applause]. Well - this election is important not only to me, but to all of us. And like I have told you before, I will not rest until we have won the election - and I meant it.
But the election was not my priority - my priority is getting America back on track. And just like the election - I will not rest until that has been accomplished.”
*Gasp* Oooooh! Bloodthirsty... [smiles]
CNN claims that a source says that Romneys internal polling had him down 5 in OH. I don’t know what to make of that. BS?
