A selfish attitude on the part of some of the runners but chiefly to blame is Mayor Bloomer for not canceling the race as soon as the scope of the devastation and human desperation became known.
Don't you think these people might be upset because they spent their own money getting there, only to have it canceled at the last minute by City Leaders who (like Obama) are playing 'politics' ???
Granted, it should be postponed or canceled due to the problems, but it should have been the first thing canceled, not the last.

But since the arrogant prig in charge of the Road Runners club is blaming the cancellation on the media (!) and Can’t understand why New Yorkers would object to her use of generators, fuel and other scarce resources, I guess this must be a runner thing and we wouldn’t understand
