The Talk Shows
November 4th, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rich Beeson, political director for Romney's campaign; David Axelrod, adviser to Obama's re-election campaign.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): David Plouffe, adviser to President Barack Obama; Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Political analysts.
Schieffer posted this on his blog Saturday: We're not talking to either side this Sunday. Instead, I'm going to go to some very smart people on two different panels. I want to see what they think, see if together we can find any trends. My guess is they probably don't have any more answers than I do, but we'll find out for sure on Sunday. Harvard's David Gergen, National Review's Rich Lowry, Vanity Fair's Dee Dee Myers, The Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan and our own John Dickerson will start us off. Then, we'll breakdown the numbers behind a 2012 victory with Democratic pollster Anna Greenberg, Republican strategist Leslie Sanchez, Rothenberg Political Report's Stu Rothenberg, University of Virginia's Larry Sabato and CBS News Elections Director Anthony Salvanto.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Plouffe; Ed Gillespie, adviser to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel; Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio.
Larri?
I think we can win in Penn. From what I hear Philly was effected by the storm and where ever there are storm victims they are pissed off by the lame response. Also the war on coal has backfired more than the regime ever anticipated.
Exactly, the whole thing is so bizarre you have to think twice about what you read and what you type.
No praise is enough for Woods and Doherty and how they sacrificed it all for God and country. They will be true American heroes forever.
Forget Britt, he obviously spent too much time over at ABC.Lovely Martha McCallum now heading things up on FNC,she’s as good as they get.
Exactly, the RCP has an average weighting of Dems of around +6% and that makes it a tied race. With the country a +1% Repub and the Tea Party chomping at the bit it is likely a major Repub win.
In Oregon burbs which reflect the country well we are seeing Repubs who have never voted before turning in their ballots while Dems are not. These are the people the pollsters are not talking to but we are.
Just like Scott Walker who was losing and won by 6, the experts are lying.
The river surged in about 1/4 of a mile.
We lost power Monday about 7:30 PM and it started to trickle back on yesterday morning on.
I was able to read FR via android but had to save batteries for Facebook.
Say what you want, but our Mayor was only able to communicate to the populous via Facebook and Twitter.
The Jersey Shore is where the real pounding was taken on our state. Here is a link to some before/after pictures

The guest, Bing West, Assistant Secretary of Defense in the Reagan years, explains it was the State Department that sent in the 6 Americans to try to help, and that may explain Bill Clintons anxiety for Hillary to release more documents.

We've got to fix lots of things beginning next week. Mainstream media is one. Once this is behind us, I'll propose we choose one of the alphabets and remove them from our news consumption. All the NBC News platforms would be good starts. Watch the others, if you must, but NBC News is the worst: Today, MSNBC, Morning Joe, Brian Williams, Evening News, Rock Center, Chis Mathews, and MTP.
Their behaviour and reportage is almost criminal and undeserving of America's attention. We could put them out of business. They're teetering now, so let's finish them.
I read an article earlier in the week where someone commented “Even the Looney Granola Crunchers In Orgeon are turning on Obama”.
Does that pretty much sum it up?? LOL
Well I peeked in on the Morning Shows and they are unbearable! Obama wins and they just dont see how Romney pulls it off.
All these so called experts think the election is about a freekin storm.
Unbelievable.
The heck with the national debt, unemployment, $4 gas, goaless wars, aimless foreign policy.
Maybe Jay Z or Cher will chime in next.
Sheesh

Are any of the Sunday Morning Talk Shows talking about the Economy?
Thanks for your observation;) Saving my high blood pressure.
Unfortunately, I tuned in earlier and Bill The Ipeached Clinton (with his hoarse voice and garbled articulation) claimed that: “Romney got caught with his hand in the cookie jar”. Billy must be having flashbacks to getting his hand caught in Monica’s cigar jar.
Yep, Big Romney Win! I see Romney taking New York, them folks been taxed to the max already, they know it cost them jobs, dumped upon with this hurricane disaster and a government slow to help. And I’ll bet there will be some other liberal coast states that Romney gets too.
Well I peeked in on the Morning Shows and they are unbearable!

Today’s topics and discussion are like picking at a scab. Unnecessary pain!

Great stuff I totally agree.
Ignore the polls, watch the action and the rhetoric.
Obama and Romney are both playing on mostly BLUE state turf. Romney is running the sort of campaign winning camps run, optimistic, hopeful, bland. Obama is running the sort of campaign losers run, nasty, desperate and shrill.
Obama is not acting like a candidate whose internal polling is showing him winning.
