Barring some kind of last-minute surge, President Obama is going to fall well shy of the 52.9 percent he won in the 2008 election. It might still be good enough to win, but it wont be resounding.
But just who exactly has deserted Obama over the last four years?
Two weeks of Washington Post-ABC News tracking poll interviews find 84 percent of likely voters who supported Obama in 2008 support him this year, while 13 percent say they are switching to Romney and 3 percent are backing others or havent made up their mind yet.
The chart below shows the erosion of Obamas 2008 coalition among many key demographics:

You do the math.

Therefore, my quick amatuerish math is that about 7 % of voters will change their minds.
You do it like that.
I didn’t see this posted elsewhere. If it’s a repeat, my apologies.
Anyway, the Kenyan got roughly 69 million votes last time. 13% of 69 million is about 9 million. Add that to McCain’s 59 million last time, and take it away from the Kenyan’s totals, and Gov. Romney wins 68 million to 60 million votes.
Even if some amount of McCain voters go for the Kenyan this time - say 5%, that still makes it 65 million to 63 million.
That takes nothing into account for increased GOP base support and decreased enthusiasm from Dem voters.
52.9% X 84% = 44.4%
OBAMA IS TOAST
Ah... under a different title via a different outlet. LOL.
I’ll give you a private reply and explain how to put graphics in your responses, OK?
when I read this headline, I SWORE it said ‘Obama DEFACATORS’
LOL
I still don’t how anyone could possibly self describe themselves as conservative and vote for this radical leftist.
Now I did talk to one of my teachers from back in high school, and she is now voting for Obama even though she was always conservative. I asked her if she was no longer conservative and she said she was. I didn’t bother starting an argument as to why the two were not compatible.
She does, however, live in Europe and apparently having O as president makes the Euros give Yanks less crap. Seems like a self interest decision which is masked by other rationalizations.
Zero's vote percent: 54
McCain's vote percent: 46
8.64 leave the Zero, 54-8.64 = 45.36 remaining for Zero
of that 8.64, 7.02 go to Romney (assume Romney gets McCain's share) 46 + 7.02 = 53.02
I'll take it! Even it is the ComPost saying it!
Millions of white voters who voted for Obama in 2008 are voting against him in 2012.
We all know that anyone who opposes Obama is a racist. That raises the question, did all those white Obama voters just turn into racists over the past four years or were they already racists and just discovered that Obama is black?
No, they didn’t just turn into racists, Bubba. In 2008, they all voted for Obama’s white half!
There must be dozens of them.
I am predicting about 54-46 so those numbers look correct.
The media loves to bury the truth beneath a pack of lies.
Ok, let me see if I got this right...
If 13% of Obama’s voters last time, vote for Romney, and all those discouraged GOP voters in 08 show up this time, and indies go for Romney +8 from -8.....
Doesn’t this turn out to be a complete landslide victory??
LOL!!!
That’s not even including the “stay home” factor.
Enough to pack an outhouse, to be sure.
