Gallup is now tentatively planning on conducting interviewing over the last four days of this week, Thursday through Sunday, to provide a final pre-election estimate of the election race. The decisions we make on the validity of the sample and the analysis of the data that results will be carefully informed by the degree of recovery from the storm over the period of the survey.

I’m not surprised - they have a good reputation for accuracy and Monday’s poll is likely to be their last one.
Sandy may have introduced unwanted “noise” that’s crept into other polls.
Given what we’re seeing on the ground, I’m skeptical the election is as close as its portrayed to be.
Maybe. Or maybe it’s better than having Gallup show us a storn-skewed poll with Obama on the heels of Romney.

I kind of like the fact we won’t get one till monday. More and more people are seeing that millions are without power, food and gas in NY and NJ - bursting that imaginary bubble about Obama’s so-called crisis leadership - and the rise in unemployment to 7.9 should leave a mark as well.

I have a sneaking suspicion they will have Obama up. The other national polls all have Obama trending up.
