Streisand: Romney 'extreme as it gets'

Barbra Streisand criticizes Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in a video released Friday by the National Jewish Democratic Council.
“Gov. Romney would take us backwards and is as extreme as it gets when it comes to a woman’s right to choose and giving America’s wealthiest even more tax cuts on the backs of the middle class,” the singer says. “…Mitt Romney does not share our values. I know Barack Obama does. In this good man, we have a president we can trust, a president whom I trust.

Thanks for your opinions Jeff, I’ll try and get around to reading them when I have the time. I don’t have any disagreement about the Navy, however. That was perhaps the most rediculous statement I have ever heard from a president of the United States to ever say. The Navy is a powerful force in deterring the enemy out of picking a fight, I’m surprised that a president doesn’t get that right, plus not get that knives and bayonets are still a vital part of training in the armed forces, especially the Marines.

Sounds like an endorsement to me. I’ll vote for almost anybody Barbara Streisand calls an extremist.

Just wow. A moderate Democrat running as a Republican is now far right? How far have we fallen? Is there a bottom to this rabbit hole?
But aside from all of that. Let us look at what she is saying. She is parroting the nonsensical line that tax cuts for the rich are on the backs of the middle-class. Is that a valid point? No! What is on the back of the middle-class is all of the insane programs that corrupt the poor; that destroy the motivation to work; ;to be productive; even to refrain from committing crimes.
The middle class has never been dependent upon Government; all Socialist movements have victimized the middle-class, the small business, professional people, farmers, etc..
How ironic that this silly ad has been released by an organization claiming a Jewish identity, when neither Ms. Streisand or the organization caught the fact that Obama's focus on demagoguish scape-goating against the rich--the "1%" he keeps talking about--is the same tactic that Hitler used to scape-goat the German Jews, whom he blamed for all Germany's woes. (The Jewish population, at the time, was just under 1% of the German population.)
Someone should explain to Ms. Streisand, gently so as not to confuse her, that the focus on smearing a small segment of the population, was urged by Karl Marx back in the 1840s. It is a tactic of those seeking something as "extreme as it gets." It is not anything that Gov. Romney has proposed.

Ridiculous. Romney is closer to Obama than the other Republican candidates that ran. I can’t imagine what she would be saying if the patriot Santorum had won the primary. Luckily he is next in line!!!! I can’t wait for a Santorum 2020!
